www.ign.com/articles/2017/02/02/sharknado-5-officially-announcedNo surprise since these are so cheap to make. But how long can this franchise really go on before the novelty wears off (if it hasn't already)? This is like telling the same joke over and over before it gets tiresome. Tara Reid and Ian Ziering will return (it's not like they're getting work elsewhere anyways).

The only reason people watched them was because of reacting on social media (e.g. Twitter). However, even if 2/3 of the audience that tuned in for the first 3 watch parts V, VI, VII, etc... it's still more than any other made for SyFy movie. They tried to launch the same popularity with Lavalantula. Steve Guttenberg was so popular in the 1980s, trying to do that same spoofy stuff, it didn't work out so much.

I can't bring myself to watch any of these movies. I get it , it's supposed to be campy , but being campy on purpose isn't the same as the " camp " just naturally happening. For example Army of Darkness. It's just the right amount of Campiness , without being too aware of itself.
