Which film about loving someone for their inner beauty is better? Or which one do you like more?
I think Shrek makes a better point about the subject and more realistic, it also avoids the stockholm síndrome issue.
Another issue with beauty and the beast which shreck avoids is the idea that yiu can change a person with your love which is false.
Saying soo Beauty and the beast is the prittier film definitely much more pleasant to looks at its like your ultimate chick flick with animation and the musical numbers are incredible.
if you love films Moulin Rouge its no brainer your favorite animated film is beauty and the beast. That movie is the most beautiful fairytale put on fim.
no computer can compete with the stunning hand drawings characters. The computer is great for effects and the settings but characters should always be hand drawings.

I like both equally. Both films are favorites of mine, and they are spectacularly made films with similar great messages. For me, it all depends on what mood I'm in which one I choose to watch at the time. If I'm in the mood for a dark, serious, fairy tale adventure, I watch Beauty and the Beast. If I'm in the mood for a hilarious comedy, I watch Shrek.

Shrek is edgier and satirical by design, but Beauty & the Beats is the better overall movie.
However, I don't agree with the notion of Stockholm Syndrome.
Fiona was already looking to fit into a normal princess story and grew to like Shrek because of their similarities.
Belle was in no way brainwashed to fall for the Beast. Her personality changed him to someone she could live with and love.
The computer is great for effects and the settings but characters should always be hand drawings.
Not sure about that. I think Tangled is the best looking Disney Princess movie and I know some would argue Frozen.

Well Actually many of the criticism for Twilight and Fifty shades applies to beauty and the beast which is you can change a bad boy which many psychologists say it's completely wrong. so as much as i love Beauty and the beast apart from Stockholm Syndrome beauty and the beast has issue as well. They could argue the beast changed because he decided to change also to break the course. i belive someone can change but you can't get with someone expecting you will be able to cure him or mold him to your needs and many romance films give that idea. now we forgive Disney because they didn't have those intentions with their film, they wanted to give girls a good message of seeing someone past their looks but im thinking they might have failed and instead they gave the same message of Twilight without that intention. the main problem people have with Twilight is not that its a film innacurate with the vampires legend or people problem with fifty Shades is not about BDSM its the message of making girls believe they can change someone or someone can change for them. On the other hand film doesn't exist to educate us or our kids and if Martin Scorsesse is celebrated for glamourizing mobs, then everyone should be free to do what they want. On the animation mmmm i know how praised Frozen and tangled are but i prefer the old school princesses. Sorry to say so but i think Anna, Elsa and Rapunzel look like Aliens. belle, Aurora, Pochahontas and Jasmine are prittier and they were hand drawn. Though i was discussing this with my family todayand my cousin told me Belle was drawn by computter only the first design was hand made. he is wrong right ? |
