You Only Live Twice Live and Let Die The Living Daylights The Man With the Golden Gun
Not sure about what my No.5 would be. There are a few others that I'm fond of, but they all have some flaws that detract from them in various ways. I might opt for A View To a Kill simply by virtue of its godly soundtrack. Bond has never sounded better!

I think organizing it like ck100 did, with a movie chosen for each actor, would be a bit fairer. Though I’d strictly enforce the “only one movie per actor” rule. Connery — From Russia with LoveLazenby — On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, both by default and because it’s a really good movie Moore — The Spy who Loved MeDalton — Licence to KillBrosnan — The World is Not Enough Craig — Casino Royale

1. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME is the 10/10 ultimate Bond film. Not only does it have all the Bond elements such as high octane action, great scenery and locations, beautiful women, and wit, but it has an ultimate plot.
2. For Your Eyes Only 9/10
3. Goldfinger 9/10, but I'm biased, having been born in Louisville, and living there when the film was made, with a nostalgic sort of subconscious memory of some of the scenery.
4. Thunderball 9/10, all the Bond elements, and an exciting underwater battle scene that is still the most entertaining one ever made. Not to mention two of the most iconic henchmen deaths (Quist and the embezzler) in film history
5. You Only Live Twice 8/10. Stunning imagery, and good old fashioned piranha back before we all learned piranha weren't all that horrible.
HR: Octopussy 8/10. Moonraker 8/10
