I don't know why Portland's name keeps coming up as being viable for a MLB franchise when they haven't had a minor league team in years.

Send them here to New Orleans! Our AAA team is leaving after the 2019 season, so it would be a perfect fit!

That's horrible if true. I hope they stay in Baltimore.

I'd always heard that they have one of the best ballparks in the country. It would seem rather odd to abandon a place everyone loves.
Usually teams seem to move because they can't get someone to put up a new building for them.

As an aside...
Should we really listen to anything that is written by a guy named Peter Schmuck?

The New York Yankees was the original Baltimore Orioles. I welcome this one along with Buck Showalter coming to New York.

I don't know why Portland's name keeps coming up as being viable for a MLB franchise when they haven't had a minor league team in years. Portland doesn't even have a ballpark anymore. They gave the Beavers old AAA stadium to the MLS Portland Timbers. Move a team there and they play in a little league park.
heh heh heh, I said "beavers" heh heh heh heh heh heh heh

I think they should move to Indy, then take the Indians from Cleveland

They can't move! Camden Yards is one of the classic MLB parks! I hope this is false.

I don't know why Portland's name keeps coming up as being viable for a MLB franchise when they haven't had a minor league team in years. It keeps coming up because Portland is the biggest market in the US that does not have an MLB franchise. Whether they can support a team is another story, but that's why. I personally want to see a team there.
