I'm not exagerating when I say that the editing in SUPER TROOPERS is one of the worst I've ever seen. Everytime a scene starts, it feels like it has nothing to do with the one before. The Broken Lizard group manage to transmit their real life friendship into their characters, because I could feel the camaraderie. And they have good chemistry with the rest of the cast as well. Too bad that they only made me laugh a few times. 3/10 SUPER TROOPERS PART 2 1/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog (in English, in Spanish or in Italian).

I don't know if I'd really call it a franchise. There was one film and then a sequel many years later.

I think there was one or two scenes in the first one that made me laugh. Never saw the sequel.
Beerfest was much better, many more funny scenes. Plus it had Jurgen Prochnow making some references to Das Boot which was clever.

I never saw the original, but I did see the second at a free screening. I laughed a couple times, but it basically only had two jokes: "law enforcement aren't supposed to act this way!", and "Canadians talk funny".
