Fixed again. I get irritated very easily and so I am blocking out the stuff that irritates me.

There are still many 2018 films that I need to see, but these were favorites of the ones I did see:
First Man A Quite Place Annihilation MI Fallout Vice Sorry to Bother You How to Talk to Girls at Parties Won't You Be My Neighbor? White Boy Rick Bohemian Rhapsody

Hereditary Eighth Grade Sorry To Bother You Blackkklansman Isle of Dogs Alpha Roma The Ballad of Buster Scruggs Black Panther Mission Impossible Fallout That is a more agreeable list than I expected from you. Yours does have two movies that would probably go in my bottom 10, but hey, can't go wrong with Eighth Grade and Buster Scruggs.

moviemouth Fair enough. but... you still ignored the very basic way I ranked those movies as your attempted correction (i.e. you claimed I ranked Mission Impossible: Fallout as #1 and Hostiles is my #2) is technically not accurate which is what I am correcting. you can't ignore that much unless you don't care about anything else besides a extremely basic 'Top movies of 2018' type of list and don't care about rankings or order etc. but your topic specifically says, "List your 10 favorite movies of 2018" and that's what I did below with a quick score/ranking. that's definitely not too much detail but a proper simple ranking. so ill list those again with your more simplified preference (as this is as simple as I can make it short of removing the scores below)... 1.Mission Impossible: Fallout - 7/10 -.Hostiles (2017-2018) 3.Annihilation - 6-6.5/10 4.Anon - 6/10 -.Molly's Game (2017-2018)basically the first two are tied along with the last two which is why I listed things like that instead of the 1/2/3/4/5 places simply because I can't rank those in a definitive order which is why I listed things like I did. but like I said in my other post in here you should be able to reason that out. p.s. I am surprised some can place a exact order on ten movies because, at least for me, many movies are roughly tied and I simply cannot rank them in a exact 1 through 10 order. hell, I imagine even for you there surely must be some movies that are 'too close to call' on which you like more, correct?

Yeah, we have VERY different tastes in movies quite often. I rate movies very subjectively. All of the movies in my top 10 lists of any year usually had some kind of profoundly emotional effect on me. I know that you like A Star is Born a lot, but for me it one one of the most boring "I don't give a shit" movies I have seen all of last year. Me and you see the world in a very different way.

moviemouth Everyone does that as it really goes without saying as what you just said there is something I tend to preach quite often when certain topics turn up. p.s. but ill say it again... how much someone likes a movie pretty much boils down to some sort of emotional response/feeling it gives the viewer and the more it does that in a positive way the higher the score and the less the lower the score (but at least for me... there are not that many movies that stand out to a higher degree as it pretty much boils down to 181 movies I score a 7 or higher). rating movies any other way pretty much makes no sense if you ask me because it's more of a lie where as rating this way is a true measure of what a viewer truly thinks of a movie.
But it's more accurate so it can't be worse than what you do, only better since it's more accurate. so I can't see why someone would not be a fan given this info. so while you can do that stuff you just said if you want, ill continue to do mine my way since it's technically superior as it more accurately reflects my thoughts/feelings on a movie.

I don't care so much about accuracy. I didn't say it was better or worse, I just don't like it. When I don't like something I tend to block it out. My sanity (or what's left of it anyway) depends on it. There is a big difference between an emotional response and a PROFOUND emotional reaction. This might help you better understand me. I am a cynic, a nihilist and I am borderline misanthropic. We are basically like night and day personality wise.

I did think Gaga was great, and it's well made and moving at times, but pretty formulaic and that's saying something considering I haven't even seen the first 2-3 versions of it. "Me and you see the world in a very different way" - maybe. We haven't had a lot of worldly discussions, either.

Josh Hamilton was in the cast. It must have been Gremlins From the Kremlin who put his name in the wrong place.

I guess I just meant that you like A Star is Born and I didn't at all, though I tried to be objective to an extent and rate it 5/10. I think Lady Gaga is good, but I wasn't overly impressed. She is certainly better than Bradley Cooper, who looks like he is just going through the motions or simply oisn't talented enough for a role like this. I personally have yet to fully believe Bradley Cooper in a serious role besides The Place Beyond the Pines. Sam Elliott is marvelous though. I don't much care for the directing or cinematography in the film either, so I obviously don't agree that it is well made. I prefer to keep my world POV to myself, because most people would accuse me of being seriously disturbed.

Is that why you condone the senseless and barbaric vigilante torture dealt to poor Marv and Harry? Just kidding.

While they are being tortured, the movie in this regard is treated more like a cartoon. Even as a kid I knew what I was watching. Secondly I have very little sympathy for people like Harry and Marv. If they just minded their own business and didn't decide to rob someone then they wouldn't have been tortured. Also, they could have left almost anytime they wanted as far as I remember. After Kevin shoots them with the BB gun they had their chance to leave. Isn't the reason so many people enjoy the Friday the 13th movies because they are being entertained by senseless and barbaric murder? Anticipating watching the next innocent teenager be torn apart, stabbed, beheaded etc. Seems kind of sick to me. Kevin is defending his property in an exaggerated way and I sympathize with his character. I see that aspect of the movie as being about protecting your home and yourself at all costs.

As far as F13, the more likable the victims, the scarier watching them die and better the movie. That's why Friday 4 is my favorite - genuinely likable cast. When a horror movie is just giving me a bunch of assh*Les to root for the deaths of, it puts me off. Buy seriously, I like seeing irons fall on Daniel Stern's head as much as the next guy. I'm just kidding about HA.
