Who's talking whole season? He just needed to keep going for half a game, then quit. Unbelievable douche move, never mind the fact they were down to two cornerbacks on the game roster for the second half. We can all laugh at the Bills, and often do, but they didn't deserve this. No team should have a player quit on them DURING A GAME. Dude should have thought long and hard about coming back at all and hung them up before the season started. Disagreed. Even the Iron Man himself, Cal Ripken Jr. removed himself from a game, and without injury to boot. Just checking, is this a serious response?

I've got no problem with him retiring early or mid season. He may well have got through the pre season fully believing he was physically and mentally up for another year. He realises he isn't and so instead of wasting his time and his team's he pulls the pin. I would have preferred he wait till the end of the game, but the same logic applies: the guy one below him on the depth chart gets some play time he wouldn't have had otherwise. There was no guy below him on the game roster. When he quit, they were down to two cornerbacks and its usual to have two on the field at the same time.

Just checking, is this a serious response? Which part? All of it. I'm sure you must be aware that Ripken went to the manager BEFORE THE GAME and said he wanted to sit out. He did not desert his team halfway through the game, get dressed and leave the stadium for good. So I can only assume such a dumb attempt at equating the two was a lame attempt at humor?

Not much difference. He still left them hanging, at game time, with a shitty replacement: Cal Ripken entered his manager's office around 7:30 p.m. on the night of Sept. 20, 1998, and ended the major leagues' longest consecutive-games streak at 2,632. He did so simply by telling Ray Miller that he wanted out of the lineup. It was Ripken's call, and he made it without warning. The decision removed Ripken from the left side of the Orioles' infield for the first time since May 30, 1982. It put Ryan Minor, his replacement at third base, in a spotlight that would later prove too intense.

Ever had a job in life when you just knew it was 'over'?
Did you give 2 weeks notice (which is the respectable thing to do - and in some situations the smart thing to do - never know who you'll see in the future and you may need references), or were you that trailblazer who walked out with 2 middle fingers in the air?
I say good for him.
Trailblazer.

Not one where I made $5,000,000 for a half years work. Never walked out of a job half way through a shift either.
Suppose Carson Wentz does this? Or Ben Simmons? You would soil yourself.

not really.
I was raised Catholic. like to consider myself 'spiritual' and love eastern philosophy - i.e. the 'I Ching' a philosophy centered on Taoism and built on Buddhism.
I say - 'You Do You'.
You put a smile on your face and make yourself happy at all times being peaceful and mindful.
Live in the moment. Mindfulness. There is no past or future - only the present moment.
he was living in the present moment and did what was right for him as an individual.
and he was like a sparrow in the night ......
I say godspeed and godbless......

What's funny is that Billy Cole had simply shaken off 3 would-be tacklers, Tecmo Bowl style, before opting to murder the safety, as opposed to just, you know, running past him. Did you get in the IMDB pick em league - you could have rode DC-Fan's cock 24/7 and slurped on Frank's dick and ball cheese all day................
Um, OK? Not getting enough attention today, lardass?
