Or forage or hunt? Maybe you grow your own herbs in the kitchen window?
I'm a smallholder, so I grow a lot myself, i'm not fully self sufficient yet, but i'm working on it. I forage, especially mushrooms, but also berries. Unfortunatly, i'm allergic to shellfish and lately also fish, so fishing is not an option for myself, but i do it sometimes and give it to the dogs (my cats don't want it).

Yes, every year I plant tomatoes & peppers. Any favorite kinds? Peppers i grow as perennials, the summer is so short here, so they hardly have time to ripe.

Yes, I usually grow heirloom & cherry tomatoes. Also I grow green bell peppers & jalapenos. This year I'm trying Poblano peppers for the first time.

Every Summer we grow peppers and tomatoes as well. We kind of mix up the various kinds depending on what strikes our fancy. We grew butter lettuce one year but the bunnies and other little creatures got it before we got any. We also have grown berries but they are hit or miss.

Poblano looks like the peppers in west Africa (I used to work there).

Google gave different answers.
