And Shocker, I forgot him.
Agreed on all the above.

I agree this seems quite unnecessary.

I actually kind'a lied the Raimi ones as it was Spidey's first outing. I am looking forward to Tom Holland but Garfield's Twilight-emoness didn't do it for me at all, and the second one is just bad. I can't say I disliked Andrew Garfield as Spidey, but I do agree that Tobey Maguire was better. And yes, I'm also looking forward to Tom Holland as Spidey. I hope the trailer isn't fooling us by showing the best parts of his portrayal. That was one of my problems with The Amazing Spider-Man. I thought, judging by the trailer, that we were finally getting a sarcastic Spider-Man. But it turned out that it was only in the one scene (the car thief scene). What a disappointment. I hope they aren't pulling that publicity stunt again. I just thought of another prime example of remakes that nobody asked for. A Christmas Carol! Like, how many movie versions are there of that story now? It's getting kind of old. (I'm not going to lie though when I say that I enjoyed most of the versions I saw. My personal favorite is the one with George C. Scott.)

Fair enough. Me, too, they're off to a good start with a souped-up version of the Vulture (and the Tinkerer, I think). And Shocker. I want Mysterio and Scorpion. And... please bring Vince D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk into the MCU I want to see Kraven the Hunter. And yes! Kingpin would be so cool. I would love if they went the same route as that classic Spider-Man 1994 animated series, and made Kingpin be the mastermind behind most of the crime in New York.

They sort of did that in Netflix's DAREDEVIL S1. But I would love if they integrated him in the larger MCU
