Anybody watching it?
I'll admit that marriage proposal during that one acceptance speech took me by surprise.

I watched a good part of it. Thandie Newton's Emmy was well-deserved.

I saw some of it. Didn't recognize the hosts at all nor did I find them funny.

I saw some of it. Didn't recognize the hosts at all nor did I find them funny. Kate McKinnon and Kenan Thompson seemed like they would have been better hosts when they came out at the beginning.

I didn't even know that they now have separate categories for "supporting comedy" and "supporting drama". The Emmy for Henry Winkler was so obviously a lifetime achievement award. And really, 7 nominees per category? It's such an obvious ploy to guarantee "inclusiveness". The Emmy's have always had separate categories for both.

Henry Winkler was very deserving, I thought he had one already. His character is really the best thing about Barry.
It actually ended on time, that never happens. Guess we can thank Lorne Michaels and all his experience on Saturday Night Live for that.

I saw some of it. Didn't recognize the hosts at all nor did I find them funny. Meh, they kept the show moving. It was the best paced awards show I've watched by far. I'm not there to laugh my butt off and I thought the deadpan delivery was funny enough.

While he wasn't my pick, he totally deserved it more than he would have as the Fonz.

While the 2 biggest categories were predictable, there were a lot of surprise winners all around. I liked most of the bits. My only problem was the change in the format: They announced the nominees and then they brought the presenters. Why?

The Maya Rudolph / Fred Armisen segments were most disappointing.

Why does every program have to be a 24/7 Trump bash fest? It gets really tiring.

Why does every program have to be a 24/7 Trump bash fest? It gets really tiring. That really didn’t happen much. Politics have always been a part of awards shows though.
