A big favorite of mine, among the very first movies I purchased on dvd. It inhabits its own unclassifiable universe beyond normal cinematic concepts of good and bad -- visually it's stunning -- the costuming, effects, art direction and Jane herself -- but scenes such as the one where Durand Durand is "torturing" Barbarella are beyond camp verging on surreal absurdism.

Barbarella made no dang sense to me. To this day I wonder what Roger Vadim was smoking when he made the picture and if I needed some to appreciate the picture.

Not my cup of pot. This is very cult orientated. I liked the killer dolls in the beginning, but became too bored by the plot and annoyed by the music.
