I wonder which Chris Terrio will do the writing for Episode 9. The Chris Terrio who wrote "Batman vs. Superman" or the Chris Terrio who won an Oscar for "Argo".

that's all fine. It was Iger who pushed for the early post-backlash release of Solo instead of an more stable December date. In the end that would not have not changed much I believe as the genuin problem is lack of quality not quantity - though both correlate of course.
What is missing is ideas, originality, fresh art design and world building. These are the foundations SW is built upon and which make it a unique selling point amongst the rapidly produced genre fare a la Transformers, Marvel, FF or other YA franchises.
As for RJ, Iger's blatant silence on him tells nothing concrete, it's not a good sign for Johnson (who just insulted you tubers and claimed he is still working on his trilogy concepts), but in the end Iger might have wanted to evade the RJ controversy by pandering to both camps. He used plural "entities".

Good. I'm glad the higher-ups realize that quality over quantity is something the SW franchise desperately needs. And the people who make SW need a heaping dose of humility. Check out the "New Coke" video I posted earlier in this thread. The thing that saved the Coca-Cola company after the customer backlash was their reaction (at 9:28 in the video). They told customers that they heard them, and then gave them what they wanted. Imagine if the Coca-Cola company had reacted like Lucasfilm telling customers, "You're intimidated by sugar!", "You have no taste at all!", and "Just drink it you manbaby!"

So no apology for the shitty quality of the movies and the huge disrespect to George Lucas and his original works?
Oh well, this is a start at least.
