Conditional, that is, on sufficient recovery following upcoming dental surgery today. It will proceed on schedule as long as Dr. Szell assures me that 'it iz zafe.'

Do I really look like Dustin Hoffman there? More importantly, does the Garth dentist look like Larry Oliver?

Good ones, Aussie -- all except for Mature. Old Vic is a physician in CLEMENTINE, and even operates on girlfriend Linda Darnell after she is shot by John Ireland as 'Billy Clanton.'

Yeah....knew he was a surgeon in MDC, one of the many inaccuracies in the movie, but couldn't omit him from my list of "Doc"s.

And Vic appreciates the inclusion, I'm sure. It was one of his best performances.
Mature seldom got any respect. Years later he tried to gain entrance into the exclusive Los Angeles Country Club, which did not accept actors into their ranks. His reaction: "I am NOT an actor -- and I can show you the reviews to prove it!"
As CLEMENTINE was being prepared, Henry Fonda promoted his pal Jimmy Stewart for the role of the Doc, but director John Ford would have none of it and rejected the idea. It took 15 more years for the filmmaker to come around to appreciating the actor's talents.

Others in Dentist Chairs:
TEXAS (1941) -- William Holden being treated by Edgar Buchanan (who really was a dentist before turning to acting)
THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (1934) -- Hitchcock hero Leslie Banks turns the tables on the dentist-spy, overcoming him with noxious oxide
THE PALEFACE (1948) -- Bob Hope plays inept and cowardly correspondence school dentist 'Painless Potter' out west
THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI (2017) -- Frances McDormand gets back at Fat Fred the town dentist and drives his drill into his thumb

The last game, Tele -- the one on fictional movie Presidents?
No, I did not award you even one single point! And for a very good reason -- you didn't post any answers.
Actually, no players were awarded any scores -- because it was a pointless quiz (oopps, make that a quiz with no point .. I mean no points).

OK Tele -- I had Lydia the Tattooed Librarian check back in the archives located in the basement. And by thunder, there you are -- proudly credited with one mighty point for being the first (and only) player to link Ameche with Borzage.
Hey there / hi there / ho there You're as welcome as can be Raise your banner high-high-high-high! Come along and sing this song and join the jamboree! M-A-T / T-G-A / R-T-H spells GARTH!
