If you could go back in time, which people are the highest on your list that you would like to meet first?
And do you have a particular reason for wanting to meet them?

In no order: I'd like to meet some of my favourite recording stars of the 1900s/1910s, such as Albert Benzler, Ada Jones, Billy Murray (no relation to the current Mr. Murray), Walter Van Brunt, Will Oakland, Vess L. Ossman, Harry MacDonough, Henry Burr, and the members of the Edison Military Band. I'd like to ask them about their lives and careers.
I'd also like to meet Dinah Shore, who is my favourite early TV star, and have her sing for me.
I'd also like to meet silent film star Mabel Normand. Just curious what she was like. There's not even a recording of her voice from what I've heard.
Not a specific person, but I'd like to meet some medieval swordsmen and interview them.
I'd also like to meet Will Keith Kellogg and C. W. Post, and ask them about the early breakfast cereal industry.

Top of the list, is playing pool and hanging out with Mark Twain.
Meeting and watching Jimmy Hendrix record 'Electric Ladyland'.
T.E. Lawrence would be extremely fascinating to talk to. (Lawrence of Arabia)
Teddy Roosevelt would be great to go on an adventure with.
Abraham Lincoln, had to separate the man from the myth, mind's well stop and visit Benjamin Franklin as well.
Oscar Wilde don't know if I could keep up with him though.
Listening to Mozart play, the conversation? well we could talk about Bach.
Meeting Voltaire and perhaps going to a party thrown by Madame de Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV.
Harald Hardrada the last great Viking king.
Julius Caesar, mostly curious to watch him in action and his oratory skills and Cleopatra's as well.
Zeno of Citium, Alexander thought him worthy of seeking out and his fragments have always fascinated me.

I've thought about this often... In no order: Edgar Allen Poe. Queen Elizabeth I. JFK. Homer. The Bard. Mickey Mantel. Syd Barrett. Rasputin. Buddy Holly. Confucius. Marco Polo. I met Mickey Mantle. An a baseball card show. He was drunk as a lord. He also ogled my wife's ass repeatedly. She teased me about it until Mantle's death, leaving phony phony messages et al.

I'd like to meet Alfred the Great, the real lawmaker of England, who lived over 300 years earlier (849- 899) than the time of Magna Carta (compiled 1215).
