After FFH Disney & Sony will need to negotiate a new deal for Spidey if Marvel were to keep using him in films, but with Sony now in a stronger position than they were 4 years ago thanks to Homecoming, Venom & Spiderverse all doing good to great they may want too much out of Marvel, most likely wanting to cross into the MCU which I don't see Marvel letting Sony anywhere near, Spidey can pop up in Venom once the deal is done as Holland has 1 more movie on his contract to play Spidey and so Sony can get him into Venom 2, but it wont connect it to the MCU it'll just confuse people, Marvel will not let Sony fuck with their universe at all is my guess, and they don't need to Spidey in the MCU is great but they only have 3 film slots a year at most and now that they have X-Men, F4 & Silver Surfer back they don't need Spidey as much, hell they don't need him at all really.
I agree focus on F4 when they get the rights back, but that's also an issue as Fox apparently down own the rights to F4 they only own the distribution rights, another company owns the actual rights, but Fox just pays them to let them make the films, so no idea what the fuck will happen with that going forward, Disney will likely get the rights back, but when is the question, but I agree F4 needs to Marvel treatment as the other films were bad to horrible, the 00's version was atleast enjoyably bad though, Rise Of The Silver Surfer is my sisters favourite cbm which cracks me up.
Also the sooner we get F4 the sooner we get DOOM!!!! and I want DOOM in the MCU, DOOM!!!!!
Thanks for explaining that to me. Although would you really say Sony is in a much stronger position yet than they were before 'cause they have only had success with one movie ('Venom') and some fans think they are making a mistake making 'Morbius, the Living Vampire' the next movie 'cause there are other superheroes in the 'Spiderverse' that are bigger draws and I agree and I think they should be trying to capitolise on 'SpiderGwen/Ghost Spider's' popularity and make 'SpiderGwen' their next live action movie. I was never fond of the choice of having Black Cat and Silver Sable before SpiderGwen and Spider Woman as you know and I think movies of 'SpiderGwen' and 'Spider Woman' would draw more of an audience than movies of 'Black Cat' 'Silver Sable' and my Brother In Law does too 'cause they have bigger fanbases. Right now 'SpiderGwen' is Marvel's biggest selling female character and it is a waste not making a movie of her over lesser known characters but they are using her in animation first.
I don't think 'Venom' will connect to the MCU either and if it does it would be confusing since there was no mention of any of the other MCU superheroes existing in the movie but having it in an alternate universe like 'SpiderGwen' would make the most sense and they could have Venom crossover with Spider-Man that way. I can't remember but have they mentioned multiple universes existing inside of the MCU with alternate versions of the characters? There have been rumours Spider Woman is going to be in 'Far From Home' so we will have to wait and see what happens with her and I am still surprised Sony own her rights since Archie Goodwin created her separately and the name Jessica Drew come from his daughter. It will be interesting to see what they do with 'The Fantastic Four' and 'The Silver Surfer' and there was said to be a 'Doctor Doom' movie in development but I am not sure it is happening now and I think they should wait until they have a good version of the character in a 'Fantastic Four' movie before giving him his own movie.
Well Venom in terms of profit probably was their most profitable cmb to date, they just won an Oscar for Spider-Verse and Homecoming is the 2nd highest grossing Spidey film ever...so yeah I think that they think they are in a strong position, I disagree they are in the same position they were in before, they need the MCU far more than the MCU need them, so it all comes down to just how much they feel like asking for and how much Marvel want to bother with them, 2 years ago I could have seeing Feige being like ok fuck this with all the cock ups in interviews Pascal kept making and he kept having to explain, but depends on if that happens again, if it does yeah I could see Fiege being like thanks but no thanks regardless.

Yeah. It was. The success of 'Venom' at the Box Office is impressive and it is funny to think ‘Venom’ was more successful at the box office than all of the 'Spider-Man' movies apart from ‘Spider-Man 3’ bringing in $855 million worldwide and yet we are seeing people writing on sites including up on the DCEU and MCU boards that it was this massive flop and worst superhero movie made and while I wouldn’t say it was as good as the first two ‘Spider-Man’ movies in my opinion I would hardly call it a flop at all and it is probably the most successful spinoff superhero movie ever made making more money than the majority of movies the character it spunoff made so Sony is in a good position at the moment and it will only go up from here if their next movie is a success too. Sony have access to a lot of characters when it comes to the 'Spiderverse' and we have yet to see a quarter of 'Spiderverse' characters in live action and the 'Into the Spider-Verse' animated movie was the first 'Spider-Man' movie to include Miles Morales and SpiderGwen and the 'SpiderGwen/Ghost Spider' movie will be the first time we have had Spider-Woman and Silk in a movie.
I think Sony are approaching the Spiderverse from the wrong direction though and after they made 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' with the MCU they should have made 'Spider Woman' followed by 'Venom', 'SpiderGwen', 'Prowler', 'Spider-Man (Miles Morales)', 'Spider-Man 2099', 'Silk', 'Black Cat', 'Spider-Man Noir', 'Cloak and Dagger' (a movie of the characters when they are older), 'Silver Sable', 'Toxin', 'Scarlet Spider', 'Morbius the Living Vampire' and 'Nightwatch.'

I think instead o Sony making their own Spider films they should just sell the rights back to Disney.

I think instead o Sony making their own Spider films they should just sell the rights back to Disney. Well, technically if they were to do that they would be giving the 'Spiderverse' film rights to Disney for the first time 'cause Disney didn't own Marvel when they sold them to Sony and they had the Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst 'Spider-Man' movies. My only problem with them giving Disney the rights to the Spiderverse is if they will use the Spiderverse characters like SpiderGwen, Spider Woman, Silk, The Prowler, Black Cat, Silver Sable, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Spider-Man 2099 etc or toss them to the side. With Sony planning on more Spiderverse movies and Live Action TV Shows it appears we finally have a chance to see some of them in Live Action for the first time and I think the Spiderverse is big enough to be kept separate.

Who owned Marvel before Disney? Talk about a bad business decision selling it. Fucking hell. The money and success they could have had if they had only made movies when they owned it couldn't be made buying something else. Now Disney gets all the glory for the company they made.
