All over ESPN right now.
I know the NBA receives a lot of hate on here.
To each their own we all have our likes and dislikes.
Apparently NBA League Pass will now be offering 4th Quarters for $1.99.
The one complaint from sports fans on here I keep hearing is the game really doesn't matter until it comes down to 'Crunch Time'. Well - I say one can make that argument for every sport out there.
Would you be willing to pay $1.99 for an 'important' game that is out of your viewing area when it comes down to 'Crunch Time?

Nope. I just don't care for the NBA product all that much. My biggest complaint is how the playoffs let's half the league in despite under .500 records and making every series a 7 game series with countless days off in between making the NBA playoffs last for basically 2 fucking months. It's so far and beyond worse than the NCAA Tournament where it's 1 and done and get exciting under dog match ups to root for and they actually have a chance to win because it's 1 and done.

Just looking it up at wiki and the playoffs from this past season went from April 14 – June 8, 2018. Literally 2 months had it not been a 4 game sweep for the Warriors. That's just too fucking long. If I had my way only 12 teams would make the playoffs with the top 2 seeds in each conference getting bye's so that they get the advantage of resting players.
R1: 3 Game Series
R2: 5 Game Series
R3: 7 Game Series
Finals: 7 Game Series

Nah. NBA is just weak sauce. Finals? Yes. Conference Finals? If it's a good match up I'm in. No reason to ever watch a single regular season game though.

how do any of you consider yourself sports fans if you're not well versed on the 'Big 4'? at least I 'try' with hockey I have tried with hockey and I find the puck to be moving too fast to really follow what's going on. I also have no clue wtf the rules are. Sports I follow: NFL, Baseball, NCAA Football, NCAA Basketball (Hawkeyes and then the tournament), and Golf. Everything else I have little to no interest in what so ever. |
