Just the other day I was thinking about how movie soundtracks used to be a big thing, but not so much anymore. Do they even release soundtrack albums these days? I have quite a few in my CD collection, but I haven't bought a new one in ages.
Anyway, to answer your question, the last one I listened to was probably "In the Mood for Love".

Yeah, they're still available. I bought the CDs for Blade Runner 2049 and Last Jedi.

"The Time Machine" (2002) - Klaus Badelt.
I'm a big score nerd. This is one of the best I've ever heard.
Runner-up would be "Tron: Legacy" by Daft Punk. Electronic music may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this is a really impressive score.
Though most of the time I go bluetooth, I keep a few CDs in my truck. One of them is Prince's Batman '89 soundtrack. It gets a good deal of hate, but I still love it.

I've probably bought more (vinyl) soundtracks over the last few years than ever before. It's become a real collector's market with labels like Death Waltz and Mondo. As well as re-releasing and re-packaging soundtracks that were long deleted or had a small run, they are also releasing soundtracks that your "normal" record company that focused on soundtracks never would have, especiall for TV shows - Stranger Things and the Netflix Marvel shows for example Add to that some of my favourite artists have moved into the world of film scores - Nick Cave and Clint Mansell for instance, it's been an expensive time for me over the last decade.

The Strangers: Prey at Night. Pretty groovy 80s collection, that.
