He was actually a liberal who enacted the lion's share of today's civil rights legislation. And he got the U.S. out of Vietnam.

A raging racist, anti-semite, warmonger, and torturer, who beat his wife so bad she had to go the hospital, but other than that, a great guy.

Oh please. His opposition to attempts to set up of talks with pie-in-the-sky goals which were tried later and failed are no indication that he was an evil Machiavellian out to kill America soldiers. Hindsight's 20/20. There are always diplomatic debates about how best to go to the negotiating table. This is a very biased and selective analysis. It's no reflection on Nixon's success in foreign policy. The man ended up being a great president in retrospect.

He had his moments but seemed too vindictive and at times, callous. And judging by the tapes, paranoid as hell.

Never said as a person simply as a president actually. But that's directly tied to his presidency?

Johnson is the real demon. He's responsible for mass immigration, he turned his back on American servicemen murders in the Liberty attack, he raped a secretary....but the media chiefs love him because he was obedient.
