the blair witch project audition ravenous
A pivotal horror year with the success of both the blair witch project and the sixth sense revitalizing the supernatural genre after a barren decade. Not to overlook the onset of the early 2000s Asian horror boom, ushered in by the success of the previous year's ringu and 1999's audition.

To this day I have yet to watch either The Sixth Sense or the Blair Witch Project. The Sixth Sense is worth watching for the ending alone. In regards to The Blair Witch Project, you're not missing much.

Such a good year for movies. It's pretty strong for horror alone, discounting all the other good movies in other genres.

Blair Witch Project Audition Wild Zero (couldn't not pick it...it stars one of my favourite bands, Guitar Wolf)

Sixth Sense, Sleepy Hollow, Lake Placid all solid.
Several others had potential, but just couldn't rise above the 4/10 level. The inspiration that was in my top three was hopelessly missing in the others.
