It’s baffling that film even exists. The first was a bomb in the first place. Was it though? $396M against a $170M budget doesn't sound terrible. That’s the production budget. It cost a lot more to market the thing. I’m sure it did OK on DVD but I don’t think it being barely a moderate success is justifying a sequel, especially since Huntsman bombed anyway. I would actually love to see Emily Blunt Play the Main Villain in a Super Hero Movie. Sue Storm was made for her. I don’t give a damn if her husband gets Mister Fantastic or not but she needs to be the Invisible Woman. |

At least with the ones we’re getting these days, they’re willing to try out new things, like what Black Panther and Civil War did: allow a genre to evolve. |

She was the right choice. Blunt was also considered for the female lead in the first Cap film but she apparently refused. |

She was originally cast as Black Widow but then dropped out.
ScarJo was petitioning to be BW and didn't get it and when Blunt dropped out she made sure she got that part
