The yankees know this for sure. with all of their young talent, IMO only bird and sanchez have proven themselves enough to be fully entrenched in their positions at the beginning of this season. Bird has 7 homes in ST, today he hit an off speed slider inside out of the park. Sanchez is great as well.
next year will be filling the holes. don't expect them to be good now. they will do a lot of experimenting with their young players while boston runs away with the al east!
