What are 10 big reasons to be optimistic about the world these days?

Tasting food from around the world!

I can barely find 1 reason, so no way there can be 10.

1. we live in the safest time in the history of human kind
2. the life span of humans is considerably longer than it was ever before
3. the power of communities is getting stronger and stronger - there is a measurable progress in how much people trust their communities and are willing to rely on them. this is good.
4. the medicine is advancing like crazy. we are managing life with HIV, close to curing cancer, Alzheimer, Parkinson, the neurosurgery advancement just in the last decade is INSANE.
5. technology now allows for pretty much anyone/anywhere to get education, should they have the desire. even the poorest countries have some places where internet is accessible.
6. the boom of technology allows for people to communicate with each other with more ease and brings even people who would otherwise never meet together. its amazing, simply amazing.
7. more attention is being paid to ecology (comparatively than 20 years ago lets say) the trend is good
8. murder rate keeps dropping globally, decade by decade
9. the entertainment possibilities we now have, with internet, multimedia, VR/AR on the rise, is just incredible. And accessible too. Isnt that great?
10. animal cruelty seems to be dropping as well. that makes me happy.
