I see a kind of toxic liberalism going on. Kids have been given all the power, and it's just really kind of disturbing. Kids are NOT mature enough to know how to make these decisions. And in a way it's not their fault, but the spoiled brat ratio is increasing. They are allowed to do anything they want to do, and while I see them being somewhat socially fit - as in they are happy to be with their friends and this is a good thing - they don't seem to care one bit about getting an education. Most students seem to be happy with getting a 'D' on their report cards. When i was in school, I never wanted to get lower than a 'B', but these students aren't being shown how to take care of themselves. I have seen students WEARING THEIR PAJAMAS TO CLASS. It is depressing. Thank you Mr. Dirty.
It is parental guidance that is also at the cause of all of this. I feel it is important to allow children to make their own decisions and choices about the things they like without forcing a controlling adult perspective on it—like my folks did with me to some extent—but how far is that being taken?
What do you see though happening with the differences between boys and girls and are boys getting handed the short straw somewhere, even before they have picked it out?
Yes, absolutely. It has to be a happy medium, and parents just need to use some common sense as much as anything else. Kids have to be allowed to learn from their own mistakes and they also have to be regarded as their own person. And not as the parents' property. No good can come from that. As far as your question, you know my TOW story. The whole thing made me see red. It's bad enough to give men the shitty end of the stick. But to do it boys is unforgivable, IMO. And you know what, it's going to make these boys who will grow up one day to become men who resent women and possibly society. !!Anti-social behavior alert!! And, in the long run, women are not going to benefit, either. Like you have said before, there are difference between men and women. And women can't have a problem with that because THERE JUST ARE. End of story. Period. Not better, not worse, just different. I really do think it comes down to penis envy. Some females are going to allow themselves to feel envious on the sole fact that baby boys are perceived to have received something extra from nature than baby girls get. It's nothing more than wah-wah-wah! Also, men have testicles, so that means that they get extra doses of testosterone, which means that they are, in general, physically stronger than females. Which means that they are the ones who generally begin and end warfare, which means that they are (or, should I say 'were'?) the protectors of females. The feminists can't see this scenario all the way through, though. They don't seem to realize that the equality that they say they want is not ever going to happen. And they are shooting themselves in the foot trying to make it happen. They want to have their cake, e.g., equal pay, equal opportunity, and it eat it, too, e.g., find something else to be offended about. I saw an interview where this woman was actually complaining that the air-conditioned office space is sexist, because a woman's body temperature runs colder than a man's does (boy, I'll say! That's the biggest reason why I'm happy I'm gay, because men are soooo warm!) and the regulated temperatures make it uncomfortable for females. What a waste of energy and time and just the perfect example of "perceived or imagined slights" But serious she was.

Yes, your Tug O' War story and having grown women pitting 1st grade girls against 1st grade boys just so they could win because they didn't have the same NATURAL physical strength as the boys. What the frick is that teaching girls, that they can get away with more and have special compensations made for them, just because they are female and NATURALLY physically weaker?
As for feminists, who are deluded, bitter and envious of men, well tough s<>t!
I recall hearing about that air-con incident too. Bring a frickin' sweater to work and wear warmer footwear and covering if you are that cold and don't blame men for being warmer and stronger creatures, you cold wretch.

That you don't like feminism because it points out these facts is also notedGay hissy fit noted. It doesn't change the fact that women have a way to go before they achieve the equality that any human group deserves, let alone just over half of the population. That you don't like these facts due to your gender bias is noted and dismissed. Equality and egalitarianism is something that should be embraced by the gay community and NOT dismissed by the likes of you. Many women fought hard for gay rights in this country and elsewhere. Go and talk about something you actually know something about...ie not women and their needs and rights. Yes, a feminist hissy fit. Nice how you expect gay people to be grateful towards you, when you are only endorsing your own bias and prejudice. No-one owes you jack squat missy and no-one has asked you to talk for them, women or gay people.
I don't embrace your entitled and absurd sense of equality, because it's something you want to manipulate like a crooked politician to serve the self. You can only think in terms of secular pockets and compartmentalize things and don't look at the overall picture. You will only see what you want to, due to your lack of self-awareness and nincompoop common sense and not to mention arrogance. I think you should think a little bit more about making this ridiculous statement. 'Equality' can neither be 'entitled' nor 'absurd'. It should be an end goal for all humanity. If you don't believe this, is says way more about you than me.

That you don't like feminism because it points out these facts is also noted You won't watch it—a clip from your own gender who would run rings around you, so what does that tell you?—because the truth hurts.
You are deluded dear and you only feel disadvantaged because you are spoiled, are insecure and feel self-entitled. How many times do you have to be told this?
If you want to build up your ridiculous army and convince others how hard done by you are, then you are barking up the wrong tree. Now go and pull your head out of the clouds and get some realness about you, because you aren't worth a pinch of salt when it comes to your warped feminist mindset. Gay hissy fit noted. Which, I admit, is difficult to achieve. But by constantly pointing out his sexual orientation, you are approaching it.

He was openly touting his views as a gay male and it was his views not his gayness that I referred to. He makes no secret of it, is proud of it and I did not infer ANY other gay person would necessarily emulate his views. I am one of the least 'homophobic' of posters on here and I am surprised at his views as they don't seem consistent with other gay males I know who are usually very supportive of equality for women. In this case I stand fully behind my posts.

Coming from you, that's a compliment. Anyway, the video made some correct points about first and second wave feminism; but messed up about third wave feminism. At least it seemed that way until 4:13; by then my eyes were hurting, so I stopped watching.

The male feminist is an abhorrent creature.
What did you feel she messed up about third wave feminism? Perhaps you needed to keep watching and how in the heck did it hurt your eyes? Are you precious? Cousens is a very attractive female and she was also talking from a minimalist and cool and calm looking set.

You are misguided, misappropriate points to suit your own agenda and have a distorted and phony take on things where your feminist stance is concerned and when I hear it, you are NOT worth a pinch of salt. It's a pity really, because on many other issues, you are interesting, challenging and I can agree with much of where you are coming from. I just don't think you are used to not getting your own way and that is due to how spoiled you have been in your life and guess what, this is due to men.

Gee until fleetsin thanked me I didn't realize other people had even replied to this thread. This story is not about accusing people (putting them in jail) It's just that I'm saying I've been through this myself and I also don't recall certain details. No one does unless you have perfect recall or something... in any memory you have you remember what matters to YOU. That is why people describing the same event come up with different details even if the main story remains the same. I also remember falling off a roof and breaking my arm, and I don't remember the year that happened either. I remember my grandfather dying but I don't recall the year or the day either... I can look them up though. I would think that most people don't remember dates of events in their lives except if it's a date that already had another meaning behind it, like christmas or new year or the earthquake or 911 by association the date sticks. But mostly if it's something personal to you and you don't write a journal you most likely do not recall the date of events that only matter to you and no one else. You remember the events. I think it's mean to come on my thread and accuse me of lying when you don't know me from adam or eve and i'm not attacking you or accusing you of anything... just posting my own story to say that yes something traumatic can happen to you and you don't recall details. Apart from that all you haters can go to hell. You were warned on this thread. It is a sad fact of life that the 'rape mentality' of many males is alive and well and evidenced on this thread. By rape mentality I don't mean that they would necessarily rape themselves, butt there is an entrenched misogyny that demands that men cannot accept that women claim rape as a lack of consent to sex. They just don't 'get it'. There is a 'boys' club' mentality which gives no credibility to women and their autonomy over their bodies. How do you think the #metoo phenomenon took so many years to come out? It is sad. Even some of the more liberal sensible and just men on here don't 'get it'. Rape is about power, and men want to cling to it. In past times women have been a free labour force as wives, giving men sex children home comfort food cleanliness succour often income ( working in the fields etc) and it is too hard for them to grow up and stop being little cosseted boys when women in our society want to be equal in the workforce and society in general. While what you say it true, I think it misses a very important additional factor in our culture of misogyny. It's not just men who are perpetuating the misogyny and rape culture.

For those here who don't follow US domestic politics closely, last year there was an election for a US Senate seat from Alabama. Nine women accused the Republican candidate, Roy Moore, of sexual misconduct, with at least one allegation including attempted rape. As described in Wikipedia: Most of the allegations dated back to the 1970s, when Moore was an assistant district attorney (that is, a government lawyer assigned to prosecute criminals). Moore's behavior in approaching high school girls was so notorious that a local shopping mall reportedly banned him from the premises (although some disputed this). He was in his 30s at the time. Many prominent members of the national Republican Party members said they believed the women and that Moore should withdraw from the race. And some even said that the Senate should expel Moore if he should win the election. How did white women in Alabama vote in that election?63% of them voted FOR Moore, despite the allegations. www.washingtonpost.com/special-election-results/alabama/Among white women who were not college graduates, 73% voted for Moore. www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2017/politics/alabama-exit-polls/-- Elizabeth Gillespie McRae, Assoc Prof History, Western Carolina University

Brett Kavanaugh, whom President Trump named to a seat on the US Supreme Court, was accused by three women of sexual assault, including an allegation of attempted rape. To take the seat on the Court, the US Senate had to confirm the appointment.
How did the women senators vote, after hearing the allegations?
Susan Collins (Republican) - voted to confirm Shelley Moore Capito (Republican) - voted to confirm Joni Ernst (Republican) - voted to confirm Deb Fischer (Republican) - voted to confirm Cindy Hyde-Smith (Republican) - voted to confirm
Lisa Murkowski (Republican) - was going to vote no, but voted "present" instead as a courtesy to a fellow Republican who wanted to vote "yes" but had to attend his daughter's wedding that day
The 17, or so, Democratic women voted against confirming.
