Films that everyone has seen ( and I haven't )
Frozen The Princess Bride The Goonies Schindler's List Scream ( any ) The Big Lebowski Speed Harry Potter ( any ) Shrek ( any ) Edward Scissorhands Big The Usual Suspects Evil Dead ( any ) A Christmas Story Rain Man Field of Dreams Kill Bill Groundhog Day
I have to admit that I take a certain amount of pride in not watching something, just because everyone else has.
And the older films are pretty much doomed, because I am not going to end a streak that, in some cases ( Evil Dead ) is now up to 37 years.

It's totally awesome and I think you'd at the very least enjoy it. Please check it out if you get the chance to see I for free.

I've never seen it either. I have however seen a few clips of it and it looks really silly.

I only saw it once in class. Can safely say that I don't remember much about it.

I haven't seen it in years, but I remember it being decent. An overrated film though. I mean it's good, but nothing special.

I haven't seen it in years, but I remember it being decent. An overrated film though. I mean it's good, but nothing special. I partially agree with you. It's overrated NOW but that is because our brains have been retardized by CGI, whatever the computer generated characters are created with now. We're not used to the effort it took to see out Andre the Giant to play Fezzek. The phenomenon job the makeup and hair department did on transforming Mandy Patinkin to the Spaniard we all know and love (to this day I still can not picture him as the guy from criminal minds or yentil as the dude who played Indigo. I can not "see" Indigo in his other characters. The castle and landscaping of the set areas looked so natural and pure. The ROUSs??? You can't #the monstrosity that is now Jabba the Hut that!

deembastille It's always uplifting to see someone who repeatedly dwells on the "fact" that she is a "teacher" (with a Masters Degree) and defender of the downtrodden saying something like "our brains have been retardized ". Inspirational is what it is !

It's a lovely, fresh and funny film, although some folks do tend to overpraise it. Definitely worth a watch or two, though. Impossible to overpraise this one … it's a 15/10 … some thing for everyone even if you hate all of the genre's represented there in. AND Read the book.. it's just as good if not even better ! I have read the book, although many years ago. The film is a delight - likeable and funny - but I'd settle for a more conservative 7/10 myself.

I'm watching this for the upteenth time tonight. I cannot think of a movie in recent history that has so many endearing characters put together with actors that obviously loved playing the roles.

I watched it for the first time at 30. Too late in life, I think. It turned out to be a nice enough movie, but I don't understand the adulation it receives. I guess there are just so many people who saw it at the right age and have retained a love for it ever since. Still, as I said, it's a nice movie and worth a look.

I don't know what movie I've seen the most times in my life but The Princess Bride has to be in the top 5, probably top 2. I love it, all my friends love it, my wife and kids love it. It was one of the first movies I bought on VHS. To be honest I'm kind of burnt out on it but it's one of those movies that people are always up for watching.

A fun film but like a lot of films people tend to go weirdly crazy over it for some reason. At least it’s more worthy of that type craziness than something like The Goonies

Worth noting the book is also enjoyable. It has a good level of humor.
