Lili Taylor is one of independent cinema's leading lights, admired by many a director. She'll soon be seen in 'Leatherface' (2017) from Alexandre Bustillo & Julien Maury, the co-directors of 'Inside' (2007). "I am a horror fan. I think that, I think they’re important actually. I think, just like, I just think it’s a really healthy thing to have sort of us to go into this place, there’s an agreement. There’s a boundary. We know it’s going to be ok. It’s sort of like when you’re playing monster with a kid. There’s just an agreement, you know, and it’s a healthy way to discharge, to just get stuff out and it’s fun. I mean, I see 'The Exorcist' and 'Rosemary’s Baby' at least once or twice a year. They’re just classics. Recently, 'Insidious,' I think James Wan is doing a great job. I think he’s really good. I mean, I guess I probably like more the classics, probably."
- Lili Taylor, ColliderTaylor is an American Birding Association Board Member, hailing from Glencoe, Illinois. Keen birdwatchers from Illinois include author Jonathan Franzen (Western Springs), indie icon Nina Siemaszko (Chicago) and back-to-nature enthusiast Daryl Hannah (Chicago). Ornithologist Wes Craven was from Cleveland, Ohio but studied at Wheaton College in Illinois, while philosopher Richard Rorty was from New York but graduated from the University of Chicago. What are your favourite movies with Lili Taylor? Thanks!

Like many a young performer in the 1980s, Lili Taylor got her break thanks to John Hughes; she had a small role in his 1988 picture 'She's Having A Baby'.
My favourite Lily Taylor movies :
Born On The Fourth Of July (1989 - Oliver Stone) Bright Angel (1990 - Michael Fields) Dogfight (1991 - Nancy Savoca) Short Cuts (1993 - Robert Altman) Household Saints (1993 - Nancy Savoca) Mrs. Parker And The Vicious Circle (1994 - Alan Rudolph) The Addiction (1995 - Abel Ferrara) Four Rooms (1995 - Allison Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino) Ransom (1996 - Ron Howard) Pecker (1998 - John Waters) Factotum (2005 - Bent Hamer) The Conjuring (2013 - James Wan)
Might have included Emir Kusturica's 'Arizona Dream' (1993) but I can't recall all that much about it. My least favourite of her movies I've seen would probably have to be the horrible remake 'The Haunting' (1999), that was so bad. I thought she gave a fascinating performance as Valerie Solanas in Mary Harron's biopic 'I Shot Andy Warhol' (1995) but it's not a film I particularly enjoyed.

She co-stars with Vincent D'Onofrio in 'Household Saints', a lovely movie co-produced by the filmmaker Jonathan Demme.

petrolinoMystic Pizza is surprisingly good. Early appearances by many who went on to bigger things. Some MUCH bigger. Good story. Supporting actors especially good. Shall have to look for Household Saints. Thanks for the recommend. Don't worry about being "the reaper". You don't kill them, you just keep people informed about news they might have missed and it's appreciated.

What are your favourite movies with Lili Taylor? Thanks! I know you don't like me petrolina, but seeing as you are a fellow Lili Taylor fan I am going to do you a solid and recommend you watch Season 2 of John Ridley's powerful, emotionally complex TV series AMERICAN CRIME. Taylor - who received a Primetime Emmy nomination for her devastating performance - plays the lead and is superb as a mother who wants justice after she discovers that her son was raped by another boy at a party. For the record book, each season of AMERICAN CRIME tells a stand alone story, so although I would highly recommend the riveting, shocking, heartbreaking Season 1 - which deals with faith and race in America in ways you have never seen on the screen before, you can just watch Season 2 if you want to. My favorite Lili Taylor performances are as Honey Bush in Robert Altman's SHORT CUTS and as Corey Flood in Cameron Crowe's SAY ANYTHING (in which she memorably tells John Cusack's Lloyd Dobler; "Don't be a guy, be a man. The world is full of guys."). www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkPQ87xNw_c

Short Cuts I guess, if you're talking strictly movies. I mainly think of her from TV's Six Feet Under.

Lili is always solid in everything I've seen her in, even if some of the projects themselves are sub par

Very worthwhile TV series, one of my favorites. Lili has a pretty major role from season 2 onwards. Mena Suvari has a supporting role in season 4.
