petrolino you mentioned these brothers with different names Dana Andrews born Dana Carver Andrews Steve Forrest born William Forrest Andrews. The youngest of 13 children Several siblings use different names professionally. To avoid comparisons and confusion? There were also George Sanders and Tom Conway. Story goes that, simultaneously settling in youth upon acting careers, George and Tom Sanders agreed that only one would retain the family name. It was supposedly decided by a coin toss, which Tom lost. Their vocal resemblance was always more striking than their physical one.

Doghouse6 Some of these sets of siblings cause the "you are kidding, they are brothers ?" reaction and others look so much like each other that they seem to be twins (but they aren't). I was watching an old Matlock the other day and one actor looked amazingly like Patrick Swayze but not quite. Turned out come credit time that it was his younger brother Don.Swayze. An actor who certainly (to me) looks like another Swayze Brother is David Keithbut thanks to the wonders of technology, I found out that he is no relation. Sorry that I can't post actual pictures but the computer is not cooperating. The links should work though. Enjoyed the coin toss story about George'n'Tom.

And I just finished a five-day stay at the hospital where Dana Andrews died. I wish I could figure out how to put up pictures here. I have ones I have taken of Carradines, Bridges and Sheen/Estevez family members, but working off of an iPad isn't easy.

Donnie and Mark Wahlberg.
Aki and Mika Kaurismäki (best known as directors, but both have some acting credits)
Gary and Martin Kemp - I think their only major roles were in the The Krays (1990) but both have a lot of acting credits

I was quite shocked to learn Peter Graves and James Arness were brothers a few years ago. Did they ever do a movie or show together?

Another set of TV brothers that meant the world to me were Chip and Barry Livingston from "My Three Sons". The real life siblings played 2 of the 3 titled Sons. It's was a popular TV Series in the 60's that may not be known outside of the States. Probably best known because the beloved patriarch was played by disgraced former insurance salesman, Walter Neff.
