There is a lot of funny and entertaining stuff in this movie and it has a fantastic cast and a great score, BUT the movie is overstuffed and at least 30 minutes too long. It starts to drag a lot in the second half and there are just as many attempts at laughs that fall flat as there are parts that are funny.
Overall it is just an okay comedy imo.

First viewing: Saw it on the BIG screen and enjoyed it until the very end when there were just too many serious injuries to be funny. . AND Watched it recently and felt that it's trying way too hard and is too loud and frantic and rather mean with all the destruction of innocent people's property. The cameos are still fun to see, but the actual cast gets majorly annoying really REALLY fast. |
