Good luck with pretending TLJ didn't bomb critically and financially. What a fucking lunatic. The movie made over a billion dollars, shit for brains. And yes, it was a hit with critics. You have no idea what objective reality is, do you?

Of course, the audience scores that show people hated TLJ are complete bullshit lol. The editor of Rotten Tomatoes has said so. Surely a retard like you knows more than him, right?

I've only heard that with the Star Wars film.
That's the time we live in....the fake virtue mobs out there who want to feel morally superior to everyone without really doing anything of virtue except to label everyone racists, bigots, sexists, women haters.....etc. just fling these words about endlessly no a days. They feel so bold and have the gall to they THEY are the arbiters and judges who get to decide what humans have worth and which ones don't.
Basically they are calling Star Wars fans these things. The people who have loved the movies for years. They had no problem with Lando and a strong, decisive, leader in Princess Leia....but now if people hated The Last Jedi.....it has to be because of the fans suddenly turning into "bad" people.
Only TLJ blamed the Russians but it's pretty common to blame misogyny or racism. Look at GB 2016.

You have no idea what objective reality is, do you? It made 70% less than it's predecessor despite opening to similar numbers. It is interesting that it has such a terrible audience score while TFA has a high audience score. I wonder why the trolls singled it out lol?

No, it is a thing. There was just a story about it which is why I brought it up. Prove it by showing that there is a trend of critics or significant commentators who have actually said any of this crap in their own words. Good luck with that. Retarded Rian Johnson is pushing this absurd claim himself.

Why has this become a thing? Movies have bombed since movies have been shown for money. Why is it a female centric movie like Alien or Aliens or Terminator or Halloween could be a hit 30-40 years ago......but people use hating women as an excuse for GB 2016 failing? Why is it people loved Princess Leia but if they don't like Rose Tico they're racist or hate women? Why, because some 14 year old troll on Twitter called her "ugly" or used a racist term? There's billions of people on social media....why do so many want to act like the worst represent the majority? Or if something is said on Twitter it's worthy of consideration? I'm just baffled by the excuses people make for movies bombing nowadays. TLJ sucks. Ghostbusters 2016 sucked. It's that simple. They're bad movies and when you start attacking your audience (I'm looking right at you Paul Feig) IN THE FILM you're asking for trouble at the BO. Leave the politics out. Nobody cares if there are women or minorities if the movie is good. What's more is it's nothing new. Star Trek had women in positions of power and minorities 50 years ago. Everyone loves Star Trek. I mean it's gotten so bad Rian Johnson is posting links to a "study" that shows Russian trolls were responsible for the reaction his movie got. How sad and pathetic is that? Notice all the morons pushing this idea happen to be obnoxious, rabid, Hillary Clinton supporters copying her playbook of first calling the critics racist, misogynist, deplorables, then blaming Russian bots for everything.

It made 70% less than it's predecessor despite opening to similar numbers. It still made boatloads of cash, and only a deranged, knuckle dragging moron would say it was a box office failure.
It's fine to hate on TLJ. You can make all kinds of legitimate criticisms of it. There's no need to act like a lunatic about it and make crap up about how it was some kind of failure. It wasn't.

Retarded Rian Johnson is pushing this absurd claim himself. No, idiot, he is not pushing this claim. No one on the planet ever has. Only a complete moron would look at what he (or the study he cited) is saying in that quote and conclude their views are those claimed by the OP.
But I'm sure you won't let reality get in the way. You never have.

It absolutely was a failure, it didn't meet expectations, the audience hated it, and it damaged the SW brand which up to this point has been bulletproof. Solo bombing was a direct result of TLJ and the way Disney treated people who didn't like it. And I misspoke, it didn't make 70% less but it made 700 million less. If you think 700 million is no big deal you're nuts. The toys didn't sell for shit either.

If not impossible than likely improbable. You already knew that, but nothing wrong with being reminded of something like this since some people forget something like this. It's always been different strokes for different folks when it comes to liking certain films. The "Russians" didn't make TLJ fail. It's not "impossible" but it's absurd and you'd have to be an idiot to take those claims seriously. And of course I knew I didn't have to like GB 2016....so ....why did you feel the need to tell me? GB 2016 is just an unfunny remake of the original. It's not only bad but utterly pointless except to make money and it failed miserably at that. GB 2016 is not a remake of the 1984 film. Why do people like you say that? Are some of you forgetting what a remake is?

And it sucked. instead of coming up with their own original idea they just did a half assed remake of GB. Nobody was interested.

It carried over to Solo which of course was the first SW to lose money. Do tell me again how TLJ has a "90% rating" though lol. You're looney tunes dude. UM.....

The Alien and Terminator franchises had female leads from the start. It's the fact that Star Wars and Ghostbusters did not that had fanboys up in arms. They feel like their beloved franchises are being taken away from them.
If nothing else, maybe now they can empathize with cultural appropriation.

I mean it's gotten so bad Rian Johnson is posting links to a "study" that shows Russian trolls were responsible for the reaction his movie got. How sad and pathetic is that? I haven't read the study, perhaps I should, but you have grown very irritating to me. "Why is it a female centric movie like Alien or Aliens or Terminator or Halloween could be a hit 30-40 years ago......but people use hating women as an excuse for GB 2016 failing?" I don't necessarily think Ghostbusters failed because of sexism, I just don't think the movie appealed to many people. The trailers weren't particularly great and the movie itself was merely passable...but much sexism did shroud the movie, yes I'll give you that the cast and direct stirred the pot quite a bit, and the director has even acknowledged that he saw the movie as a political statement...but if this study says that Russian troll bots were used against the movie, that is definitely an issue. This is a foreign entity using the internet as a weapon to divide us during a very tumultuous political time. I would advise you to drop your petty squabble with a movie and open your eyes to that. You should be outraged. "Why is it people loved Princess Leia but if they don't like Rose Tico they're racist or hate women? Why, because some 14 year old troll on Twitter called her "ugly" or used a racist term? There's billions of people on social media....why do so many want to act like the worst represent the majority? Or if something is said on Twitter it's worthy of consideration?" I didn't even know there was such hatred against the Rose Tico character. I thought she was a great addition to the cast of characters. The issue isn't that people didn't care for her character, the issue is that people hated her character so much they turned their fire on the actress and ran her off the internet with hatred, racism, sexism and threats of rape and murder. That isn't good. You should be outraged. "I'm just baffled by the excuses people make for movies bombing nowadays. TLJ sucks. Ghostbusters 2016 sucked. It's that simple. They're bad movies and when you start attacking your audience (I'm looking right at you Paul Feig) IN THE FILM you're asking for trouble at the BO." I don't know if you got the memo, but Star Wars: The Last Jedi made over $450mill it's opening weekend, it made over a billion dollars in it's theatrical run. This is not a failure, it's among the most profitable movies of all time. You may not have liked it, but it has a 7.2/10 on IMDb, which I would classify as a well liked movie, but polarizing movie, with a very vocal minority that disliked it. It has a 91% Rotten Tomatoes score, it scored an "A" cinemascore. If you want to say the people who liked it, liked it because they're SJW's thats fine, but it's not reality. "Leave the politics out. Nobody cares if there are women or minorities if the movie is good. What's more is it's nothing new. Star Trek had women in positions of power and minorities 50 years ago. Everyone loves Star Trek." You're trying really hard to appear like you're not the politically motivated one. Why are you singling out The Last Jedi and Ghostbusters? Why isn't this post about, say, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Alien: Covenant? Those both had female leads, and those both underperformed by your standards. Why should anyone leave politics out when your politics are baked into your post? Did Jordan Peterson put you up to this? "I mean it's gotten so bad Rian Johnson is posting links to a "study" that shows Russian trolls were responsible for the reaction his movie got. How sad and pathetic is that?" Not sad and pathetic at all, I'm happy the man is encouraging his followers to inform themselves on something that is harming our culture. Grow up, kid. Love the avatar btw.

I still think of the Ghostbusters remake of 2016. If you didn't like the film you hated women, hated black women, you just hate that this film is about women! Blah blah blah. It was just a really bad film. On IMDb message boards the SJW's were up in arms denying that the trailers were terrible, denying that the idea of a trailer is to have the best parts of a film to entice people.
I think it is a symptom of our times. You can't be responsible for anything that goes wrong. If you make a dud film than you must blame other people for it failing. I thought it was really poor form for the actresses in the film to get on twitter and start attacking people as well. Leslie Jones even then deleted her account when people started to fire back.
Hilarity Clinton herself continued the trend by labeling anyone who disagreed with her "Deplorable" and even now she is still doing interviews blaming everyone but herself for losing the election. What a leader she is! Errrr, was lol.

It’s not a good idea to insult a large portion of your audience.

Leslie even closed her account when people started to fire back. They didn't even try with this film, it's like they thought Girl Power would just do the trick and so the jokes are bad, no chemistry with the cast. The funniest person in the trailer is a man - Chris Hemsworth!
