It's easy for a QB when both he and his coach cheat all the fucking time. It's the one and only way to explain the Cheatriots success while other teams struggle. Do you appreciate the irony of complaining about cheaters while using a Brewers logo as an avatar as much as I do? Do you appreciate the irony of complaining about someone else who chose an avatar instead of being too lazy to get one and just going with the one they give you when you join? I don't care what anybody comments. That ball in glove is the best sports logo ever for being how clever it is.

Another opportunity to roll out this chart! Since Joe Montana won exactly zero categories when compared to Brady and Manning, I’ve replaced him with Brees. Montana is not even in the conversation, by any objective measure. Brees manages to snag one of the categories from Manning, and is a contender in two others. Brady still dominates, by a mile. No contest. | Brady | Brees | Manning | Winner | | World Championships | 5 | 1 | 2 | Brady | | Conference Championships | 8 | 1 | 4 | Brady | | Divisional Titles | 15 | 4 | 11 | Brady | | Superbowl MVP | 4 | 1 | 1 | Brady | | NFL MVP | 3 | 0 | 5 | Manning | | Pro Bowls | 13 | 11 | 14 | Manning | | First Team All Pro | 5 | 3 | 7 | Manning | | NFL Offensive Player of the Year | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3x Tie | | Passing TD Leader | 4 | 4 | 4 | 3x Tie | | Career Passer Rating | 97.6 | 97.3 | 96.5 | Brady | | Career TD/Int | 3/1 | 2.2/1 | 2/1 | Brady | | Completion % | 63.9 | 67.2 | 65.3 | Brees | | Career Win % | 77.4 | 57.5 | 68.5 | Brady | | Bogus Suspensions based on Fake Science | 1 | 0 | 0 | Brady | | Make-believe Asterisks created by Butt-hurt Fans | 4 | 0 | 0 | Brady |

Though it is worth noting Brady, Brees and Manning play in an offense-friendly era Montana would die to play in. And the guy won 4 Super Bowls and never threw a pick in those games. Of course the counter to that is Montana played in an era where one conference was head and shoulders above the other. Just think of the career accolades of either Brady or Manning if the other one hadn't existed at the same time. I’ve mentioned this before ... Montana has some noteworthy trivia type stats, like not throwing any interceptions in a SB game. Of course, if you end up only going to half as many SBs as Tom Brady ... that’s a bit of an anticlimactic statistic.

I can see how a fan of a team that can’t get out of first gear, despite having a hemi under the hood, might think like that. Bitterness is a tough pill to swallow. It has to do with facts and not emotions. How else do you explain the Cheaters "success?" Besides Tommy Cry Baby and that dumb polack Grungycowski, who else is a household name? Not exactly a team full of talent. So they cheat to "win." Thankfully the Giants and Eagles owned their cheating asses in Super Bowls.

Guess the Cheatriots just failed to cheat against their opponents when they lost theirs.

There have been 6 QBs who have played in at least 4 Super Bowls. How many have not thrown any interceptions in a Super Bowl? And if you want to use the flawed argument that Montana played in less Super Bowls than Brady, then just take Brady's first 4 Super Bowls. How many INTs did Brady throw in his first 4 Super Bowls? Like I said, it isn't a trivial stat. It's an amazing and incredible feat that you wish to minimize only because Brady threw several INTs in his first 4 Super Bowls despite playing in an era where defenses aren't allowed to play defense and aren't allowed to hit the QB without getting flagged.

I’ll take NFL trivia for $100, Alex! 1 One less interception is an amazing and incredible feat? ... that occurred prior to the recent rule changes to protect the QB? Is that your final answer?

I’ll take NFL trivia for $100, Alex! So basically your answer is "Montana is the only 1 of 6 QBs who have played in at least 4 Super Bowls and never threw an INT". 1 Which is more INTs than Montana threw in 4 Super Bowls. One less interception is an amazing and incredible feat?[/quote] Yes, ZERO losses and ZERO INTs in the Super Bowl means a standard of perfection, like the perfect season that the 1972 Dolphins had. No other team in NFL history has been able to match the standard of perfection set by the 1972 Dolphins, and no other QB who has played in at least 4 Super Bowls has been able to match the standard of perfection (ZERO losses and ZERO INTs in the Super Bowl) that Montana had.

Jerry Rice admitted to cheating. Actual cheating, not some ridiculous charade that's only believed by the simpletons of the world. Some selective memory (and outright whining pussiness) going on this thread.

He was caught, busted and they punished him even though I don't think it was enough. They should strip away the MVP he got and give it to whoever was in second place for it and remove all his stats when he was doped up. That was just one player though and it didn't really benefit the whole team since they didn't go to the WS when he was on the PEDs. So I am still rooting for the team.

All you wanna do is complain and argue.

Thank you for making my point for me. Few people consider the 72 Dolphins to be the greatest NFL team ever because of their “perfect” season. The same reasoning applies to Montana. Let’s stick to significant stats, and leave the trivia to Alex Trebek.

That was just one player though and it didn't really benefit the whole team since they didn't go to the WS when he was on the PEDs. So basically the team didn't benefit from the cheating by 1 player. By contrast, the Patriots benefitted from the cheating by Shady Brady and his best friend Julian PEDelman.

Fact and not opinion. These guys have been caught and busted for cheating which gives their "winning" a black eye and many *s. No amount of any denial by their fans can ever take that away. Ever.
