apparently the united states has adopted the roma/franco/espanola/uk strategum of loosing a huge military presence around the planet until everyone feels convinced that your scorched earth policies are somehow more enlightened than those other guys.

So what do you think makes a country great ? The altruism or heroic virtue of its citizens. Eg: Here in Canada, our greatest hero is Terry Fox, a young man who had his leg amputated because of cancer, & wanted to run a marathon right across the country to raise funds to fight the disease. Midway through his marathon (he began in Newfoundland), his cancer returned, so he had to quit. He died almost a year later. |

This is a no brainer. It's law as founded in the Bill of Rights. The U.S. is the only country which has enshrined individual rights as clearly as was done in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.
