Man I am white. Like, really white. I know where the 1.4% Sub Saharan African comes from. The report says the Sub Saharan was introduced 5+ to 8+ generations. Me and my cousin have been doing some genealogy research. We found an ancestor listed on the census roles as Mulatto. He was 9 generations back. As a history nerd this is cool. 98.1% European
- 60.7% British and Irish
- 13.9% French and German
- 1.5% Scandinavian
- 1.3% Iberian
- 17.8% Broadly NW European
- 1.9% Broadly Southern European
- 1.0% Broadly European
1.4% Sub Saharan African.2% East Asian/Native American
.3% unassigned
Told my family not to commit any murders. They can track them through me now. That's how they found the Golden State Killer. They put his dna evidence into a genealogy site. They were able to make a forensic family tree that led them to 10-20 distant relatives. This lead them to 2 suspects that fit the dna profile and was right age. 1 was eliminated using family members dna. The other they watched and got dna off a handle and tissue in his garbage.

My Neanderthal ancestry accounts for less than 4% of my overall DNA. Straight Hair:
I have 0 Neanderthal variants associated with having straighter hair. Less likely to sneeze after eating dark chocolate:
I have 0 Neanderthal variants associated with a reduced tendency to sneeze after eating dark chocolate. Less back hair:
I have 1 Neanderthal variant associated with having less back hair. Height:
I have 2 Neanderthal variant associated with his height. |

I worked with a guy who claimed that his results told him he's 100% White.
I'm pretty sure his DNA results is 100% shit.

I'm assuming there's some rounding up in there somewhere. But seriously, it's broken down into various sections of Europe (with my two largest percentages being 'northeast Europe' and 'northwest Europe'). Unlike Vassaggo, I don't have any sub-Saharan African or east Asian/Native American DNA. Apparently my genetic signature most closely resembles those of the British Isles (which is my heritage) and then Germans. I was hoping for some surprises but I really didn't find anything. I'm your typical boring white guy-- and I didn't even vote for Trump. |
