Does that include the international aspects too? I know it passed the DOJ audit in US and India. I haven't heard about any other countries.
Edit: Doesn't say in the article but it did say this...
Rice reiterated that the deal is still on track to close sometime in the first half of 2019, either in the first or second quarter. But he said that structure of New Fox — down to elements such as human resources and payroll — will be ready to go by Jan. 1. Regulatory processes will likely drag the ultimate closure beyond that date.

Hopefully FoX can put out many of its pre development projects before this including Gambit, New Mutants, X force, Multiple Man, Kitty Pryde to mess up future Disney XMU films as much as possible.

A little spiteful, aren't we? I bet you want that Aunt May solo movie too. At this point, you'll be lucky to ever see New Mutants (depending on when they start reshooting the entire movie), let alone those other thrown at the wall to see what sticks Fox-Men abortions.

Yes, I realize that, but for someone to want to see sub-par, thrown together movies with barely any thought put into them just for the sake of spiting another studio... You know what, never mind. Thank you for educating me. I had no idea...

Why would that mess up any future MCU movie using the X-men? By now people know which movies are in the MCU and which aren't.

Tell that to the MCU fans who keep saying they are scared that Dark Phoneix will ruin Disneys future attempt at remaking the story line So you're content with Fox most likely ruining it for a second time, as long as Disney doesn't get their hands on it? Sony ruined Spider-Man and he was in the MCU only 2 years later. Fox ruined Fantastic Four after how many failed attempts? You think that will stop them? How do you know they wouldn't give the Dark Phoenix saga a similar treatment as Infinity War, a film you actually liked (for the most part)? From what we've seen, there's plenty Fox will leave out (the Shi'Ar, Imperial Guard, Hellfire Club, the Phoenix Saga, Starjammers, etc.) that when the MCU re-does it, after taking the necessary time to properly build it up years from now, people will probably think it's a brand new storyline.

Hmm...I don’t recall Homecoming being another attempt at the Death of Gwen Stacy storyline. And the Starjammers were never in Dark Phoenix.

Hmm...I don’t recall Homecoming being another attempt at the Death of Gwen Stacy storyline. And the Starjammers were never in Dark Phoenix. Ok, listen we know we are asking for things that were not in the Dark Phoenix Saga. More than a few of us have said things and you retort "that wasn't in Dark Phoenix." Some have brought up plot points that happened in The Phoenix Saga, or the cartoon episodes from TAS. How can I put this? Just because the movie is titled Dark Phoenix it doesn't mean the movie is only going to have plot points from the Comic Book arc The Dark Phoenix Saga. The first go around in X2 we got the bare minimum of exposure to Phoenix. X2 is one of the greatest movies out there but it wasn't The Phoenix Saga. Then we got a shitty version of The Dark Phoenix Saga with X3. Now we are back at it again. We have a movie called Dark Phoenix. What exposure have we had with Phoenix this time around? We got one glory shot that lasted 3 minutes in Apocalypse. Now in the new movie we have skipped 10 years. It's been 10 years since she released her powers. Do you think she never used her powers, trained, etc in those 10 years? What we are asking for is story from Phoenix Saga or hell the X-men TAS. We want to be exposed to her character some how. We are kind of starving for news that will calms us with something familiar to Jeans growth. All character development, her struggles, her triumphs, her growing in power, her learning how to control it, her afraid that she can't control it, and hints at seductive side of the power; all of that will occur between movies. And this movie isn't going to be 3 hours long, so that means they are probably not going to have enough time to cover her growth/life. The number one rule in visual storytelling/movie making is , show the audiences what you want them to know, don't tell them. Without some of the Phoenix plot points in the movie, they will be reduced to telling us how Jean's life/powers/relationships have evolved. Excessive use of Expository Dialogue kills movies. It's lazy writing, it disrupts the flow and pace of a movie, and usually is bereft of any creative/style/artistic merit. It' could get worse than expository dialogue it could be a flash back montage of her life. We already know we are getting one flash back in the movie from the trailer. It seems like they are going to use flashbacks and montages to catch the audience up. Montages is the exact opposite of organically showing Jean's story. When people talk about showing instead of telling the audience, the montage is the lowest form of showing. A montage is the equivalent of a Comedian coming out in a crowd and tickling people to make them laugh. Yeah they are laughing, but you aren't being funny. You are tickling. Using a montage to show story/growth is the same thing as using a jump scare in horror movies. It's cheap, it's banal, and devoid of any creativity. So for the time being if one of us mentions a plot point, character, or locations that occurs in The Phoenix Saga, Other Comic Arc, or even the 90's cartoon realize we know this. It is us just wanting to have a little bit of Phoenix/Jean growth before she turns. I hope you can cut us some slack?

Vassaggo He was literally saying if the MCU redid Dark Phoenix and included the elements Fox “left out” then audience would think it’s a new storyline. My point is that part was never left out because it was never there.

There is a lot of conflating of the Phoenix Saga with the Dark Phoenix Saga going on here... From what I see, Fox is only attempting to adapt the Dark Phoenix story arc and not the full saga.
It doesn't help that people are now refering to the entire Phoenix Saga as the Dark Phoenix saga - it's a bit of a misnomer at best.
