I don't like farting and I don't fart very often. If I were getting to a point where I could/would need to fart, I can just take a dump instead. So that's what I do.
I pop my knuckles/joints often and I often can't help but do that. For example, if I flex my ankles or stand on the balls of my feet, my ankles will crack. Sometimes I sound like I'm made out of bubble wrap.

In general, probably popping knuckles and joints, since you can always guarantee nice loud ones, unlike farts which often aren't that loud. But when you get the case of the loud farts, boy is it fun, probably more so than a good knuckle pop. There's not much better than a nice loud rip.
So I will go BOTH.

Farting in a crowded elevator is a gas...!!! Especially when you point at the person standing next to you as the perp. And I can crack my knuckles without using the other hand...it gets attention…!!!

Brah I take it back. I changed my vote to popping knuckles instead of BOTH. Something happened last night. I broke my rules and I ate falafel for dinner. Big mistake. I was ripping all night. The problem was I just changed my sheets the other day so they were nice and fresh and I didn't want to fart in them, and of course by bed time is when the farts where at their most foul and constant. So I had to get up every few minutes to do a massive rip in the other room. After a while it was just getting ridiculous and exhausting constantly getting in and out of bed, and it was getting very late and I was really tired, so I had to call it. I decided to stay in bed. I just couldn't do it anymore brah... I woke up today in a gas chamber. So much for my nice new fresh sheets.  Normally farts are fun and enjoyable, but this was just too much, so I have to change my vote. Falafel and chili. The two things you should NEVER eat late in the day! |

OMG. You sound like my Uncle. He loves farting and always waits until people are in the room with him to let one go and laughs his head off over it and he is trying to learn how to make animal sounds and says when he moves to the left or the right or around he can make them sound like all different types of animals but he can't make an elephant sound or he has to run to the toilet.

Farting may be funny, but its gross. I think the gross overwhelms the funny IMO.
However I don't see ANYTHING wrong in cracking your knuckles. How is that gross to someone else? Its just a sound.
Farts and burps are smelly exhalations that others can smell and have to breath in. That's nasty.
But cracking knuckles? Its just a sound. I've never understood anyone's problem with that. |

They both involve the release of gas or fluid ok, so technically that's true. But in the case of the cracking of the knuckles that gas doesn't leave my body in a smelly exhalation that you have breathe in. |
