We know that she is an alien shapeshifter. Rumors say that she is gray skinned and has gone by the name “Lilandra”. There is a grayish shapeshifter who has acted as the double for Lilandra. A very obscure character named Hobgoblin(not the Spider-Man villain) who was apart of the Imperial Guard who first appeared as an antagonist for the X-Men during the Phoenix arc.

Interesting. Hobgoblin is a male though which has been the biggest detractor in tryng to identify Chastains character because she surely wouldnt want her true identity to be a man. But I hope it is a establsihed character rather than a ''amalgamation'' as Kinberg put it which I hope is a misdirect.

By “amalgamation” I think Kinberg is referring to her role. She is meant to be a mix of Imperial Guard members and Mastermind. Seems that the movie will be an amalgamation of the Phoenix stories.
