Wow! 50 problems, and they don't even mention how they helped to ban gay marriage in California?

I post on a couple of other message boards where this sort of OP is not even allowed because there is no thought at all involved with just linking a video. Be that as it may, I usually have a problem with somebody that is an adherent of one Christian sect attacking another sect. It comes across as a sales pitch for their own outfit. Often it also opens up a general attack on Christianity as a whole. I believe I have only criticized the sect I grew up within and left. Some of my reasons for leaving were over issues listed in this video. This video contains questions that were posed to the head of the Mormon educational system by a Mormon. It has come to be known as the "CES Letter" and its author Jeremy Runnells ultimately had his membership on trial after he kept pushing for answers and never got them. He resigned from the church during a hearing about this a couple of years ago. However, there are some items in this list of 50 that are criticisms of Christianity in general and not specific to Mormons. So I think it only fair that since this video was posted in an apparent attempt to descredit the Mormons by somebody who will defend her own sect when it is attacked, that she should comment upon item #38 to #42 which are about beliefs not only held by Mormons, but by other Christians including the Catholics. #38 If Adam and Eve were the first humans, what about fossil evidence of other humans that lived much earlier? #39 What about a worldwide flood for which there is no geologic evidence? #40 An ark could not be big enough to contain all forms of animals, let alone the food needed for them. #41 The Tower of Babel, 600 year old humans, and a person being turned into a pillar of salt are not scientifically possible. #42 Jesus Christ's behaviour is at odds with the God of the Old Testament that seems to favor genocide, slavery, rape and racism.

To my knowledge I only told it a couple of times on the old Boards and not on here yet! Oh stuff it! Here goes. I love to lift peoples' spirits! OK. A talented choirmaster was hired by Mormon Church to assist in the entertainment and education at the 'Home for the Mentally Disabled' set up by a Mormon charity. He was having difficulty getting the group to sing together, so he came up with a genius idea. He got a box of apples and a box of pencils and he taught the choir to tap along with their pencils in time to the music on their apples. It worked a treat. He had 'tapped' into something miraculous and their talent knew no bounds. They became so good that they were invited to a local choir competition and the choirmaster took up this challenge as a positive for his choir. The only problem was that they required a name so that they could be included in the programme for the competition... so they became the 'Moron Tapanapple Choir'.

#38 If Adam and Eve were the first humans, what about fossil evidence of other humans that lived much earlier? As for Adam & Eve, they represent the first humans who passed the threshold of beasthood to self awareness and critical thinking. The fruit of knowledge marks that point. Beasts have no shame of nakedness and no knowledge of good and evil. Science even recognizes there was a "Mitochondrial Eve". Do you hold this belief as a Christian, or just in an academic way in explaining the Bible? Actually I was most interested in what the Catholic who posted the OP believes, since the video appears to have criticized the beliefs of Catholics as well as Mormons.

Chilled coke is the drink of my choice. Coke zero since last 1 year. When I need energy I go for it. Interestingly, coke zero offers you zero calorie. So I think it's the carbonated water fizz that makes me feel differently.

Something against a sect that I dislike is fine enough so I just gottta do random vid search of people mentioning faults in the sect that I don't like.

If I administered the boards I would not allow mindless posts like the OP as there is no content explaining why the link is being made. One has to wonder if she watched any of it since part can be aimed as much at the Catholics as at the Mormons. She appears to also not know that the Catholics and the Mormons were equal partners in the anti-gay initiative in California a few years ago.

#39 What about a worldwide flood for which there is no geologic evidence? #40 An ark could not be big enough to contain all forms of animals, let alone the food needed for them. I love the flood and ark ones because they're easy to explain with common sense. The world to them was the Tigris-Euphrates and it floods often. 'World' is a relative term. The Ark preserved land animals in the area. Kangaroos in Australia weren't affected. Try and get taken seriously by Young Earth Creationists using these ideas. I tried years ago at the worst administered site I have ever encountered, "Evolution Fairytale" where arguing valid science will get one banned. "Flood Geology" is a favorite topic there. I got banned for destroying a crearionist argument about the Grand Canyon.

Most Christians accept evolution and don't take the Bible literally. But my point is that even a literal interpretation of the flood does not say the Hebrew's "world" was the entire earth. If you're going to refute theism in general and Judeo-Christianity in particular, you're not seeing the forest for the trees if you think refuting Noah's ark is important. Actually those holding to a literal interpretation of the Bible usually assume a global flood. Worldwide Flood

That meant that from normal sea level, the water level on Earth for 150 days was 29,049 feet. (20 feet above Mount Everest) I wonder if they had any clue where that exponential amount of water was going to come from in the closed weather system of earth? We are talking of billions of billions of litres of water here!
