The moment the movie was announced, I kept track of every bit of news about it, right up until the film was finally released. Good times... I can actually beat that by a little. Believe it or not, the news that BvS was going to be made actually made the nightly news on ABC in the NY tri state area. Eyewitness News anchorwoman Renee Baderinwa, bless her soul, said the lovely words Superman and Batman will team up on the big screen.
Think what you will of the movie itself, but those were heady days...

People went crazy on the Ben Affleck casting but he was actually pretty good in the end.
One of the better Batman even. Didn't like what they did with him so much in Justice League.

It must have been a crushing disappointment when the movie came out. I remember a number of bewildered DC fans trying to maintain a happy face while they tried to process the train wreck they had just watched. It took weeks for some to finally accept the reality that BvS was a real stinker. I think there are a few out there who are still in denial! |

Being there to witness the implosion of Mellomoviereview was priceless.
Although my favorite anecdote of DCU delusion has to go to that dude who saw BvS before most people and claimed to be sat in tears, shaking in his car as he wrote his review, such was the brilliance of the movie. 
6 weeks later, after he had changed his screen name out of shear embarrassment, I caught him on an unrelated message board, taking a shit all over the movie, saying how fucking bad it is.
Good times.........
