There are always goals galore in their games and today the masses from MacDuff country, way up there on the North-East shoulder of the country are in town in the guise of Deveronvale FC.
...and being made very welcome by the Willies. having scored 4 times in the first half without reply.
I've heard rumours of a sweep among the other clubs in the league to see who scores the most goals against the "shinty lovers", home and away. and there's another sweep amongst the Willies' fans about how many games they will finish with 11 men on the pitch!!!
Correction. Score is now 0-5

Final score 0-8
And predictably the Willies finished with 10 men. "A wiz only trying to get a kick o' the baw but that MacDuff Tossa widnae let me have one, so I booted his arse"
In other news, Rothes came back from 0-2 and 1-3 to get a 3-3 draw away to the high-flying Formartine
A couple of seasons ago, Rothes was in the same position as the Willies. They finished bottom with a GD of -149 and 4 points, some 14 points behind second-bottom Fort William (who had 5 wins and a GD of -78) Today they are a dangerous mid-table team with a GD of +10. Something the Willies might aspire to.

Fort William now has a GD of -88 after 13 games of a 34 games season.
At that rate, they are on track to hit -200 with some change to spare.
