I feel bad for her knowing that everyone liked Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) better on Gilligan's Island. She was cute but as a kid, I wanted Ginger. Go for the gold!

They were both hot who are you kidding? But I always though Ginger had more sex appeal.

It's all about Mary Ann being the girl you take home to meet your mother, and Ginger being the girl you take back to your flat.

Within the last year, I watched the entire Gilligan's Island show, and the whole time, I kept the Ginger vs Mary Ann debate in mind...
In almost every episode, when the group was trying to figure out how to deal with their "situation of the episode", Ginger kept talking about how in this movie, and how in that movie... they did something to resolve a similar situation.
Meanwhile, all Mary Ann was doing was, miraculously, baking pies. For the most part, Mary Ann was only good at keeping everyone fed, their clothes sewn up, and washed. Kind of pointless otherwise.
I would have to say, I prefer Ginger Grant.
Sadly, it seems like... and I may be wrong... that Dawn Wells could never get any role after Gilligan's Island, that didn't feature a Mary Ann type role. Even now all she does is use her Gilligan's Island fame to further her... ahem... "career".
Tina Louise on the other hand, was able to break free of her Marilyn Monroe persona that Ginger Grant frequently emulated. She was in a low budget film, where she played a mean racist prison guard... She played a snotty, business woman on an episode of Knight Rider... She starred as rich wife who played tennis in the original "Stepford Wives" film... and we all know, she tries to avoid anything Gilligan's Island related. She had a career, before & after Gilligan's Island.
Yeah, I'm a Tina Louise fan too...

Me too. I hardly liked Tina or Ginger at all.
