That's how stupid he is. Jealous of McGwire & Sosa's McFame, he railroaded himself. Actually, he'd been a jerk before the juice, so it was nearly inevitable the self implosion.

Putting all the noise aside, look at his slash line from 2001 through 2004. His lowest OBP was .515, his lowest slugging was .749. That's just insane.
To me, that ridiculous military-grade elbow armor thing he wore was a greater performance enhancer than any drug one could take.

He was already one of the best overall players I had ever seen before the roids. People underrate him so much. He was an incredible player and pretty much did not have a weak spot in his game.
