Who do you talk to about movies now? When the boards were present I could find out things about the movie before seeing it.

Movie watching experience has basically become less interesting and dull. I haven't seen anything for 3 weeks now.

Especially for non-new releases...before I could go on the message board and look over posts and post an opinion about something related to the movie that wasn't a full review, or post a link to a podcast related to the movie, etc. There's no central hub for that now.

I hate plugging sites on here but take a look at MovieChat.

If you want to talk about a movie, just create a thread on it. Do it in Film General or any of the other movie-related boards.

Try the moviechart board, but not all are archived (I saved some from Sex and the City 2 (2010))...there should be celebrity boards...(same for everything as on moviechat, straight down to my archives of some articles from IMDB celebrity boards, Justin beaver (LOL) and a few others)).

For movies, I either search for it here, or create a new topic.
For current and popular shows, I use a website called Previously TV. They have most of what I watch covered, and the discussions are pretty active. I see a few new registered users from February, so I know they were the ones that transitioned over from IMDb. I do post here as well if it's being talked about.
For everything else, just IMDB 2.0.

So what do are supposed to do now anyway? See a movie and forget about it the next day? Fu***** boring. I have never felt so mentally empty in my entire life. I might as well give up watching movies and find another hobby as a replacement.

I might as well give up watching movies and find another hobby as a replacement. Do a search for the movie. Odds are there is at least one thread for it in the appropriate Franchise or Genre board. If there isn't a thread, create one. It's that easy.

I think it is some people like the OP and me aswell miss the individual movie threads. This site just needs a good year to populate some many movies, tv shows with multiple threads per movie.

I think it is some people like the OP and me as well miss the individual movie threads. This site just needs a good year to populate some many movies, a tv show with multiple threads per movie. Most of the popular movies have their own discussion threads by now. Even many obscure titles have their own threads. Yes, there aren't individual movie boards like there used to be, but IMO this site is a more than adequate replacement for that other site.

I go between the two but my thoughts on the matter say, I watched an obscure movie as Deep StaR sIX, Leviathan there will be a populated board with many threads maybe a few years old, but I could read them and comment and sometimes get a reply so that's my thoughts on it. But like I said give this site a year and it will be better than IMDb.

Tv movies think you are smart enough to figure it out. And if you cant figure it out they go on to the next scene. C'mon Curly

I always used to go to the boards of any upcoming movie that interests me. I just want to see what other people are thinking about the movie.

There is a decent amount of conversation on here on the movie boards (Film General etc), but I miss how active some of the individual movie boards were on IMDb. Such a loss.

The other day I wanted to talk about Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, but there was nowhere to go. What a helpless and lonely feeling.
