The amazing, intricate planning, must predate PS1 times really. Well the CGI itself actually is good, do you think Thanos' CGI in Infinity War looked bad? Unless this is about the different colours then that image isn't really all that accurate because of the different lightning. This is Thanos on Titan And this is just how Thanos looks naturally. And there he has the same purple skin tone as in Guardians of the Galaxy or Age of Ultron. I referenced the movies more than Thanos himself. Admittedly, it's not CGI-Rhino or CGI-Panther or CGI-hounds bad. But Thanos still looks fake, especially considering this is only motion-captured skin without any moving fur.
And there are four lights!
I mean different colors. And different bone structures, including jaws and glowing eyes. Only thing that he did not morph was Thanos dubious "ball sack of a chin".

How many nose surgery jobs did he have between movies...?
And what is up with the contact lense eyes, fake white teeth and creepy tooth paste sneer..?

It looked like whedon tried to make him comic accurate. There's some behind the scenes footage of the actor in full Thanos make-up and it's pretty amusing.

I didn't realise that was make up, that was the fakest looking one as well.
I can see a difference in the way his face looks from Age of Ultron to Infinity War around the upper part of his face and his eyes but he doesn't look any different from Guardians of the Galaxy to Infinity War.

Oh yeah and infact Thanos wasn't in the original script. Joss picked him because he wanted a twist at the end that revealed who Loki worked with. Thanos was basically a last minute addition and that's why the make up looks bad.

It's the creative process, approaches change. I actually prefer real actors if it's a lead and humanoid role.
But IW Thanos was the best MCU-CGI I have seen, only problematic in some full shots when moving (gravity/weightless issue), but some facial close-ups were state-of-the art unreal, as if a real actor was painted over with computer (what motion capture basically is).

The new Hellboy looks really well done. Thanos is like the Hulk though so he's way too big for any actor to portray. Drax is about as big a guy as you could get where make up can be applied.

You mean like how the weak af JL couldn't defeat a poorly rendered PS1 videogame graphic villain with an equally poorly graphics rendered sprite army, without resurrecting the guy who got killed by a LOTR troll in BvS??? Got it. Not to beat a dead CGI-rhino, but have you looked at the CGI in your silly kiddie movies lately?
The amazing, intricate planning, must predate PS1 times really.
Do you believe Steppenwolf was better cgi character than Thanos: and you have a lot of nerve claiming the MCU CGI is bad or childish when everyone is praising Josh Brolin's performance and the CGI of Thanos in IW, yet everyone including the most biased fans of DC saw how the entire JL final fight/Steppenwolf/Parademons were the fakest and most childish video game level effects ever.

Steppenwolf as a Darkseid lackey at least managed to keep his skin color, facial features and nose consistent, and had a not so fallacious plan. Also, it's hard to take Thanos seriously considering the oft-mocked CGI-ball sack of a chin he carries around.

Do you think he will ride one of these infamous CGI-rhino in the next one?
And did you even see CGI-Iron Man, CGI Iron-Spiderboy and CGI-Panther defying the laws of physics in IW and BP...you cannot make that unseen!
Bad CGI of the world, unite, ...uh no...assemble!

So if the dccu is according to you so great in the cgi department, why did everyone complain that Steppenwolf and how bad his CGI looked along with the overall fake looking parademons and final battle??? And no attempts at spin is going to change the 500 million debacle with Superman's mouth CGI DCCU is a massive failure and you know it. JL underperformed was given mostly bad reviews and the infamously bad cgi in this: Steppenwolf, Cyborg, the backgrounds (very obviously green screens) and especially Henry Cavill's mouth to hide his MI:6 mustache is recognized by the masses as a complete failure, There is a reason why the DCCU is dead in the water after the failures of MOS, BvS, SS, and now JL, even with the median success of WW, which was at best above average but not great and ripped off a good amount of CA:TFA, and the CGI fight with Ares at the end was also awful CGI. Now if JL was a success to you, why did WB fire Henry Cavill and why is Ben Affleck leaving/jumping ship too???

You must be fun at parties. Hey, I got another thing that will drive even you more mad: "I have won more Oscars than all 21 MCU films put together and was one of the most profitable films of that year. Who am I?" - I am Suicide Squad I beat all 3 MCU films of that year at Critic's Choice, Hugo Awards & Co and in Profitability and as cinematic milestone. Who am I? - I am Wonder Woman I will direct The Predator II Who am I? I am James "I have famously huge turds" Gunn, currently trying to hack up DC films after Josh Whendon did.

DCCU is a cinematic failure on all fronts, you can't spin that because you hate the MCU. the CGI of Steppenwolf, Cyborg, Parademons, backgrounds and Superman's Mouth were all awful as was the plot, and the WB firing of Cavill, Affleck jumping ship after the JL, which was in theory supposed to be the DCCU's equivalent of the Avengers, it isn't looking all that good for the DCCU(even with Aquaman, Shazam and WW2). DCCU is apparently desperate enough to hire Gunn no one is forcing them to do so, so take your aggression out on DCCU. And if Snyder direction in MOS, BvS (which won razzies since you use awards as a metric of quality) wasn't so damn awful, DCCU/WB wouldn't have needed to call in another MCU director to fix the DCCU rotten mess which was not salvageable anyway.

Let's just agree the straw man of DCCU (whatever that is) is horrible and makes you very angry. It's all in your head after all. If those pills don't work, I hear raccoon turds, squishy not dried ones, have a soothing effect on sensitive MCU nipples, especially when put into pillows at night...

I mean, sure the CGI rhinos and BP's final fight were pretty bad, but those were pretty much the only real bad CGI in multiple MCU movies where the CGI for the most part has been pretty decent. DCEU CGI on the other hand is consistently being mocked.
