Guardians of the Galaxy, for being one of the most entertaining underdog comedies in a long time. It reminded me a lot of the original Ghostbusters.

Winter Soldier is quite good, imo. Agreed.

winter soldier, baby.
I do think im3 had the potential to be the best, since RDJ is always on point, but man......while I don't hate the Mandarin twist, god what an unnecessary curve. GOTG's eh, I've seen it like 3 times, but midway through viewing number 2 it started to lose its shine, but GOTG2 i'm on board. and AoU is still pretty rad......minus quicksilver.............and maybe that cool, but terribly noticeable GCI intro.
and I honestly dislike thor2 and antman; thor2 felt aimless and dull, and antman I thought it constantly missed the mark. but oddly enough i'm actually kind of wanting that antman/wasp film.

To be fair about The Mandarin, Marvel is always going to be in a tough spot where it concerns the character no matter what. The original sin of him being a Yellow Peril villain will never go away. Favreau didn't even want to touch the character, feeling he was a lost cause to begin with. Stan Lee did his best to write him as an eloquent villain, but boy the original design was offensive.

Winter Soldier was not bad.
What Phase would Deadpool be in? I'm not really into superhero movies but I thought that it was true to the character.

Deadpool is not a part of the continuity Marvel Studios has established with the MCU. It's a part of the 20th Century Fox "Continuity", taking place in the same universe as the X-Men films... supposedly.

The MCU Properties are: Ironman, Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. Plus, Agents of SHIELD, Luke Fury, Jessica Jones, and any future Netflix shows.

Ok good to know.
I did like the first Iron man, but not the sequels.
Winter Soldier was better than i expected, so i voted for that.
I did not like Guardians of the Galaxy, though i probably should have as i like sci-fi, even if its not "hard" sci-fi. Can't put a finger on it, it just was not for me.

Winter Soldier does seem to be the winning choice so far.

The Winter Soldier, closely followed by Age of Ultron.

I know it's technically part of Phase Three, but I like to think of Civil War as the true "conclusion" to Phase Two. Phase One ends with the Avengers coming together. Phase Two should end with them splitting apart. And then they come back together again by the end of Phase Three (whether that ends with Infinity War or Avengers 4).

Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I like how seriously it took itself. Where as the rest of the Phase Two films over did it with the comedy.

Eh, it didn't bother me. I knew we were never going to get The Mandarin from the comics. Not in this PC culture.

That's not true. Jon Favreau planned on using The Mandarin as the main villain for the first Iron Man film. Which is why there are a lot of nods and references to The Mandarin in the first movie. But then Mark Millar convinced Jon Favreau not to use The Mandarin, because the character's supernatural abilities wouldn't fit in with the tone of the movie. Also there is no rule that says The Mandarin has to look the way he did in the 60s. They could of gone with any of these designs below... So yeah, any filmmaker who says that The Mandarin looks like a racist character is total BS. Because they could have easily modernized him.

You can try modernizing him all you want, but the original sin of the character will never go away. That's why they didn't use him for the film.

They did use The Mandarin. They just turned him into a generic white CEO (just like the other Iron Man villains).
