Lakers should fire magic and make Lavar Ball GM Destroy the Lakers, I'm not opposed to that. Lakers should rename themselves the Golden State Warriors to trick KD, Curry, Thompson, and Boogie into playing for them for the rest of the season.

Huge statement win by the Raptors tonight over the Sixers in Philly.
Toronto came out the way great teams should when they're in a tough environment, strong and aggressive. While the Sixers were as flat as a McDonald's pancake. Philly, or should I say Joel Embiid, make a strong comeback, but not quite enough. There's a rumour that Jimmy Butler was at the game, but damned if I saw him.
Toronto isn't perfect, they've had some dud games. When they play like this, though, they look like a team that's gonna be real hard to beat in May and June.

Sixers get Tobias Harris, Mike Scott and Boban for:
Chandler, Muscala, Shamet, 2020 First Round Pick, Miami 2021 First Round Pick, 2 2nd Rounders.
Well - Woj is reporting Harris intends to resign with them this summer.
Love the move. Hate giving up Shamet and that Miami 1st. Curious to see Boban backing up Embiid.
Tobias, Butler, Simmons, Embiid.
Intriguing.

That's like getting a superstar!

In all fairness, I think the Raptors probably win anyway since Philly was so flat, but that was the worst NBA officiated game I have seen in a decade. That is not hyperbole, I am serious. If you told me that there was some kind of Tim Donaghy situation in that game, I would actually believe it. The refs were HORRIBLE. I can think of 8 calls right now against the Sixers that were completely bonkers. Three on McConnell where he did not even touch the offensive player. That 'offensive' foul on Shamet during the four point play was probably the biggest joke of the night.

What a trade for the Sixers. They are really trying to win THIS year, which is insane to me. They essentially have four all stars in their starting lineup along with a very solid player in Reddick. As long as the chemistry works, can any team beat this lineup in the East now? I am not sure.

On the one side of the coin, we have 76ers officials making path-breaking deals and on the other side of the coin we have this: ![](http://www.humorlabs.com/LTSavings.jpg) ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/5cq8uoz2x/cry.gif)

But they could seriously win the east next season or if there is an injury worry to Toronto or Boston then may be this year too. Also, I am not sure of Simmons. But the addition of Harris has made them stronger.
*I am unsure of Bucks

I am sorry but this is crap. Why can't they beat Boston now? They will have four of the best five players on the court. On paper, they are the best team in the East. This is not even debatable at this point and I think they actually still improve the bench before it is all said and done.

They can beat Boston or Raptors but they are less likely to do so than more likely to do so.
1. They have an average coach. 2. They simply don't have a leader or anyone with actual experience of leading a team in playoffs. 3. Last year they couldn't beat a team that was totally reeling with injury. In spite of the fact that in the regular season they finished very strongly (winning many of the last games).
4. Bookmark this thread and come back to question me if they actually win the east this year. I will be the first to apologise. I have watched many sports for many years and my belief is that you don't usually start winning key playoff series with young inexperienced players and especially when you have players like Butler in your side. They will however most probably win the east and may even the finals next year if they keep this team.

1. I agree on the coach, but he has improved recently. 2. This is crap. They are young. Last season was their first run together. Both Simmons and Embiid have improved dramatically this season. They will definitely play better, especially with this roster. 3. Yes they lost in the second round against Boston. That was last year. Once again, that was their first season together and their first playoffs. In the long run, talent wins out and they are just the more talented team. 4. I definitely will. They have to be the favorites now and will move up the standings a bunch before the season ends. This is the most talented roster in the East and it is not even debatable.

One of the implicit assumptions of your argument is that a team's one time experience in playoffs gives them enough experience to not continue to doubt and question their relative inexperience. Also, the other assumption is that the other teams have not improved too to the same effect as have the 76ers (Bucks, Raptors). By the way, 76ers finished the last season with .634 record. This season they are at .630 at the moment. In my personal view, Boston has slightly deteriorated this year though I strongly believe they will be a very tenacious team in the playoffs. But the Toronto is an altogether different team. This is not looking like a fake team like it looked every year. This is looking a more dangerous team which is geared toward having success in the playoffs under the leadership of a rather shy but extremely versatile Kawhi Leonard.

Bulls give up Portis and a 2nd rounder for Otto Porter and Washington takes Jabari Parker.
As a bulls fan, I love it.

Figured he would have been bought out and nobody would take him. Shame. Kid just seemed to never recover from that horrible knee injury and apparently was a horrible defender.
Doesn't Porter have a huge contract? Guess they made salaries match with the Parker dump.
