In all fairness, it is the Sixers third game playing together. Not to mention that the game was essentially decided on a horrible non-call against Horford. Embiid should have been able to tie the game with those free throws. Why does it seem like the Sixers get screwed by the refs so much late in games. That Toronto game was the worst officiated game I have seen all year. That Denver game had the crucial no call at the end. Now this. It just seems like the Sixers get screwed. Still, I think this team will still beat Boston come playoff time. They have the talent now. You can tell they lack the chemistry, especially defensively, but it is coming. Embiid gets away with about 352 offensive fouls every game, including this game. Stop blaming refs for losses.

Anyone else see that interview with Jordan? When asked what's more impressive-- James Harden's streak or Russell Westbrook's-- Jordan said, "Winning six titles."

They should have handled Boston honestly. They didn't. That is on them. Still, they were down two with less than a minute left. Embiid goes up for a shot and is obviously fouled by Horford. There is no debate on whether it was a foul or not. It was obvious. That play could have tied the game. Instead, Boston goes up four and that essentially ended it. That was crap.

I can't wait until Horford retires.
I think he gives Embiid the most trouble in the league.
they seem to know how to minimize both Embiid's and Simmons contributions/effectiveness during games.
hoping if they meet in the playoffs - Tobias and Butler step up - pretty much what we got Butler for - to be a 'closer'. heart sank a bit when he missed 2 out of those 3 free throws near the end of the game. not placing the blame on him at all. just wasn't game where they showed a lot of energy/heart (can contribute a lot of that to way the Celts neutralize them)

How would we get them though? Our roster is full. We would have to release someone else and who would that be right now? Amir could go, but I guess that has financial implications for the team. He is a waste of roster space. However, I like Simmons, Ennis, Scott, Boban, TJ, and Furkan. Those guys are staying. Then they have a guy like Bolden who is not even getting minutes anymore, even though I think he could be very valuable coming off the bench. I actually think the Sixers are ready to compete with the roster they have now. They just need to develop chemistry, especially defensively.

He's as good as gone after the year. So disappointed because just like TLC - I expected much more especially after he put like 40 in the opener of the Summer League this year. To me - just like TLC - he's shown very little growth - which is why they didn't pick up his option. Was hoping they would have been 2 good finds late in the first just like Shamet later on was.
Would much rather have Morris on this team or Matthews.
But that's just me.

I agree with that actually. I hate Furkan. I never liked him much like everyone else does. I would much rather have Morris or Matthews, but I know that Brand and Brown love Furkan for this year's playoffs and will give him minutes. That is why I included him on the list.

per woj,
danny ferry has been named 'interim GM' of the pels.
interesting.
why not just strip the 'interim' label
apparently Ferry has been a 'Special Advisor' to the GM of the Pels after the Hawks debacle years ago. What the hell is this - appointed by the league but not an actual employee of the Pels? Or has he been on the Pels payroll?
Is this similar to what the NBA did with Jerry Colangelo (who then hired his son to be GM) in Philly when Hinkie was outed to end 'The Process' - the league steps and appoints somebody to oversee things?

AD says that the 'Celtics' are on his list in fact.
Interesting.
I don't do it if I'm Ainge - unless there's some type of sign and trade with Kyrie - but why would Kyrie do that - I think he just bolts to New York.
I think the Celts would have to give up Tatum, Brown, Smart (or Rozier) and least 2 #1s.
Too high of a price IMO.

Tatum, Brown, and Smart are only getting better, this is a nucleus of what could be a great team. You're gonna give all that up for a fragile, seemingly unloyal diva who has never shown any signs of a guy that can carry a team on his back? Danny Ainge might, but I sure wouldn't, and I'm hoping he feels the same. Anthony Davis seems so much more Lakerish than a Boston type. Him and Lebron can cuddle.

All-Star Game is tonight. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/s8tffwvq1/cheers.gif) The game has been a 'dud' for years - no defense - but to me this year especially - it's about the Soap Opera and Side Stories. i.e. how does LeBron and AD interact.... Embiid and Westbrook.... KD and Kyrie (are any hints dropped they may bolt to New York) Kyrie and LeBron

Thanks for letting me know!

The LeBrons beat the Rockets.
Post All-Star Break - time for the LeBrons to turn it on and make the playoffs?
They're the 10th seed in the West - but only 4 games behind the #5 seed - the team they just beat.

I hope he puts his Superman cape on again and carries the team on his back - only to get his heart torn out in the WCF losing in Game 7 - as he gets completely shut down (I'm not a LeBron hater) laying a complete egg. Drama of him sitting on the bench dejected would be a great story going into the offseason.
The offseason - they sign '0' max free agents - and those F.A. instead - i.e. Kawhi sign with the Clips if they want that 'L.A. Lifestyle'.
The next year - the L.A. rivalry is off the charts - Lebron vs. Kawhi/Another Max Free Agent and the Clips routinely kick the living sh*t out of LeBron and the Lakers.
