I think the Raptors won the trade. Even if he walks.

What do you guys think about the emergence of Pascal Siakam? I have unfortunately seen very little of him but the stats say he is playing at a much-improved level.

from afar it looks like he's having a 'career year' since Kawhi is there - and once Kawhi bolts - he comes back down to earth a bit

do you not like derozan?
I remember watching that play a couple of nights back and thought - wow - the two players involved in that massive deal and derozan coming 'home' just got his pocket picked pretty much leading to a raps win.
do you think he was dirty a bit by management telling him they weren't moving him and then they moved him? or was this whole story fabricated a bit.
I gained a little respect for the guy when he came out talking about his depression - I don't see a 'killer' though in him - to me he's like a very good 2nd Banana.

DeRozan's time was up with the Raptors. After 2 first round exits, one of which was a sweep, & then 3 in a row exits to the Cavs, the latter 2 which were also sweeps... if you're not progressing in sports, you're failing.
That's 5 playoff appearances in a row fallen flat on their faces. Unacceptable.
Besides, we're talking a trade for the #3 to 5 best player in the entire NBA for that. He wasn't thrown over the side into a ditch for spite, Leonard's value shows that.

High school players back into the draft? Didn't we already close that pandora's box? All because Zion sprained his knee.

Who are the only 2 guys with more than 20,000 point who are Hall-of-Fame eligible but not in?
Of the active guys with 20K points, all are getting in with the possible exception of Joe Johnson. If JJ were to quit right now, should he get in?

If JJ were to quit right now, should he get in? No he shouldn't and I love JJ. I am sick of 'good' players getting into the Hall. It is supposed to be the best of the best. To put in in perspective, JJ is having a career year this year and he is the fifth best player in his own starting lineup.

Actually, Jamison may only now be eligible - he played in 2013-14. bleacherreport.com/articles/1892672-the-case-for-antawn-jamison-in-the-nba-hall-of-fame

What do you know, a Toronto fan bragging a little too much two months before the playoffs actually begin. Is premature ejactulation a law in Canada? Make no mistake though, the Celtics are a total mess now. Just when you think they've hit a low spot, a game like tonight's happen. Even still, we ain't dead yet. We'll still be in the playoffs, so time will tell.

As a Sixers fan - I dread the #4 vs #5 Sixers vs. Celts first round matchup I see a 'War' - where every game is close; however we get swept as we fall apart in the final minutes - you know - just like - well - every time we play you. Death. Taxes. Losing to the Celts. I keep waiting for the Pacers to falter and either the Celts or Sixers to jump to #3 so I don't have to endure this first round matchup. I can't see Brooklyn or anybody else getting hot and jumping higher than 6.

Bulls: A The bad news: Porter is owed $27.3 million in 2019-20, then he has a player option for $28.5 million during the following season. Aaaaand...that's about it. Everything else is positive here, and the Bulls can afford to absorb an elevated salary for a high-end role player because so many of their key pieces are on cheap, rookie-scale contracts. Porter's off-ball acumen should help him mesh perfectly with Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and Lauri Markkanen, all of whom need the rock in order to maximize their skill sets. He plays defense, which helps make up for the defensive liabilities/projects taking the floor on a regular basis. He's willing to do the little things—always an important trait for a glue guy on an up-and-coming roster. Maybe he makes the pursuit of top odds in the Zion Williamson sweepstakes a bit tougher, but that's a price Chicago should be willing to pay right now. Landing a player of Porter's caliber is hard, particularly when you're offering nothing more than two expiring contracts and a second-round pick conveyed years into the future. -Adam Fromal Most experts say they lost this trade bad. Supposedly, Portis is the better player and makes less money. I am not sure if I agree with that, but that is what everyone keeps saying. As I said, Porter jr is way better than Portis and Parker put together. Bulls 5-2 with him, and he's averaging 18 points on .564 shooting with great defense. Punchbob Shitbloke averaging 10 points on .438 shooting with no defense. Plus he wants 18 million a year. The Bulls got their high value, high cost free agent. It cost them two expiring contracts of bench players and a 2nd round pick conveyed years from now. Bulls won the trade. Now to get lucky in the lottery.
