Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor seems like he would have been a pretty fun guy.

On his better days, Norman Bates seemed like a pretty ok kind of guy. As long as nothing happened to rile Mother !

Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor seems like he would have been a pretty fun guy. If you like non-stop, passive aggressive digs at your intelligence. On the other hand, Little Bill would be cool to hang with and hear tell stories.

I think that Hannibal Lecter would make a fascinating dinner companion and would be good company so long as he wasn't seeing me as potential meal.
Laurence Olivier's Mengele based Nazi dentist in Marathon Man would perhaps be good company if he didn't see me as any enemy or competition of some kind.
The above fictional characters are altogether too negative for me to just think of them as fun guys to hang with, maybe kick back, have a few beers, talk about life, girls, whatever. As with all villainous people, one has to get and stay on their good sides. Any perceived threat could tick them off, bring out the Inner Monster.

If we're talking some "adult" quality time...tee hee.... I babysat my cousins during the VHS heyday. One of them preferred to have "Neverending Story 2" on loop because of a secret crush on Jonathan Brandis. I however, would love to spend some time with the villainess, Xayide (had to look that up). The actress's name is Clarissa Burt. If it's more like just grabbing a few beers, my Irish surname and gold allergy would probably keep this guy from killing me. Though I might die from laughing at his one-liners. It'd be even better if we could hang in Vegas. And though this guy probably (definitely) would find a reason to kill me, I'd still like to think we could have some laughs at a Ruby Tuesday's between connecting flights or something...

He is definitely a villain in the Captain Ahab way. He endangered the whole crew an mission for his personal vendetta. He's just a very likeable villain.

CoolJGS☺Interesting take on Quint.. I never thought of him as being a villain but just one of the guys trying to do what it takes to save the town. He has a backstory to tell and is in it mostly for the $$$$ with some anti-shark revenge thrown in for good measure. He isn't a social type character but villain ? I just do not see it. But, as I said .. interesting take !

But, as I said .. interesting take ! I don't think money had anything to do with it, but he was not interested in the town. No one else was even going after the thing since the specifically hired him. He should have listened to the town representative & the shark scientist and turned the boat around the moment they saw the size of the shark. Instead he sabotages his own boat, destroys his radio, and holds them hostage so they have no choice but to try and defeat the shark together. Fortunately he was the only one eaten. Still that dude had stories to tell that would be fascinating over a seafood dinner of freshly caught and grilled fish.
