Ben Affleck to make up his mind about being Batman?
I mean, is he going to do it or not? I get the rehab and the pussy grabbing and the unbearable lightness of being but, what the fuck?
Can't dude just make up his mind? It's a binary desicion. 0 = I am not Batman. 1 = I am Batman.
The fans want him to be Batman. The studio would be stupid to go against the fans so that just leaves beer-belly Ben. To. Fucking. Decide.
It's fucking irritating as shit that this guy won't cop one way or the other.
I think I'm more annoyed as a non-DCEU fan than actual DCEU fans who seem content to let this guy stick his thumb up his ass and ponder his Batman-ness indefinitely.

The fans don't want him to be Batman. Or maybe it's just me. I don't want him to be Batman. He's put in near 0 effort into the role. He chose to be Batman because he knew he would regret it later if he didn't, and also because his kid loves Batman. He didn't want to look back like Josh Hartnett and wonder, what if? So he's Batman. And BvS sucks dick. So now being Batman isn't so much fun. And then Justice League bombs. Still not fun. Then he tries to write a Batman movie. He can't. That's not fun. He's not satisfied in the role and it shows on screen. Painfully. He needs to go. He's a fucking anchor tied to the DCEU and he's pulling the ship down. He's a festering piece of the Snyderverse that needs to be amputated badly. That's a scathing indictment. Are you telling me that Ben Affleck only decided to take the role of Batman because of FOMO? I've always contended that you could put a ham sandwich in the Batman costume and it would do a better job than Ben did. To be clear, sandpaper is more charismatic in the role. But, all of the fans said, "you're wrong, he's the greatest thing since the Batusi, Lord Death Man." And if you ever think you are not wrong, just spread your legs and think of the warehouse scene. I thought all the fans loved this guy? I get Henry's douchebag, fandom manipulation games. In the end, he's a businessman, and he'd like to get paid. You can see the pity in his eyes when he discusses how dedicated to Superman the fans are. He doesn't get it and furthermore, he doesn't want to get it. I suspect that he'd prefer to get laid (just shortly after getting paid). Henry Cavill is not running some fandom charity and, I respect that. When tasked with playing the part of the reverent comic book fan, he can always turn to his training and ACT.

No, it's become tiresome for me as well. Whether it's being scrapped entirely or rebooted in 2019, the DCEU is changing and Affleck has to go so he can get his own problems sorted out.

He should make up his fricking mind. The indecision smacks of he doesn't want to do it anymore. But it might also not be all him. The studio may be waffling too. Actually I think its BOTH.
And none of us DCEU fans are "content to let this guy stick his thumb up his ass and ponder his Batman-ness indefinitely". Where do you get that from? We don't have the power to do anything about it. Other than being an asshole on twitter, and paying to see the movies, exactly how do you think we can influence Affleck and/or the studio heads?
Should we camp out at his rehab with picket signs that read "we DCEU fans demand you get your thumb out of your ass and stop pondering your Batman-ness indefinitely!" ?

Making yourself out to be powerless is your first mistake - both as an individual consumer and as a fandom. There are several channels available to the fan to let the studio and the man know that this is all a bunch of bullshit.

So it brings us back to being powerless in terms the internal decision making of Afflecks or the studio heads brains. If they gave a shit what we really wanted we'd have a DCEU that was at least a match to MCU, and Henry Cavill would still be Superman.
Plus, I think it pretty clear they don't know what the hell theyre doing with DCEu as a whole. Individual movies (Aquaman?), maybe. But as a universe? No clue.

YOU are the ambassador/messenger for your fandom. You can spread the word that these films are excellent and worth following or you can tell general audiences that all of this nonsense is D.O.A. And guess what, people will listen to you. You are the Yelp of your fandom; a living weapon in the battle for hearts and minds when it comes to getting people on board. If you don't get that, then you fucking deserve the DCEU that gets handed to you. You think Disney sold a "kiddie-grade" shared universe without fandom soldiers on the front line practically begging general audiences to go see the films in the beginning?

LOL! Love you too, main man. We don't have to let them push us around. We can change the conversation on them in a heartbeat. WE make all of this possible.

This particular problem has an extra wrinkle. There is apparently the possibility of TWO versions of the same Batman character. The version Affleck has been playing, and a younger version of the same character.
Apparently Matt Reeves wants to do his Batman movie with a younger actor, that I assume would take place in the past. So Affleck wouldn't be Batman in that movie. If that happens then Affleck is out. I don't see why he would want to keep being Batman unless he's going to get his own solo franchise.
(Also, this "younger" Batman wouldn't interact with the present day DCEU characters since it would take place in the past. It's all screwy!)
I say recast Superman and Batman and just move forward as is. Then just make good movies. Period. Why are they so unfocused?

You have to ignore the "leaks" they are meaningless.
It's obvious that no official decision was ever made.
When one is, they will announce it.

That is a bit of a dilemma and, unfortunately, it's one we as fans created. Whether you think it's a good film or not, the one things fans talked up about BvS was Ben Affleck's turn as Bruce Wayne/Batman. We're the ones who sold the idea to general audiences that he was irreplaceable in the part when Batman is, in fact, always replaceable. I think the studio wants to replace him but, they're afraid of Mr. Backlash and his fandom army. Why can't Affleck bookend the new Batman film in flashbacks? It would be a graceful way for him to segue out of the role and he'd be endorsing the new younger actor by appearing as the grizzled DKR version of Batman who is reminiscing on his first year (or whatever). It's a win, win for hardcore fans, Affleck and general audiences. The inevitable sequels to Reeves Batman could then follow the early adventures of Batman in a more grounded version of the current DCEU. We'll get those wonderful "exploding penguins" Alfred talked up. Batman clearly does not work in a world full of super-powered titans. And even if he did, Affleck couldn't pull it off to save his life. We should let Batman be Batman on his own and skip the world-ending-stakes team-ups. They've been done to death already.

Also I'd like to see Jared Letos Joker in it too, though not necessarily as the main villain. But I feel like I'm asking for too much. For all we know it could end up being THE definitive Batman movie.
Who knows what will happen.

Honestly, if nothing else, the WB executives NEED to make a decision. Just make a firm statement on the matter and stick with it.
Option 1: "We are working things out with Affleck, and if an agreement between him and us cannot be worked by [x] date, we're moving on without him."
Option 2: "We canned Affleck. So, who wants to play Batman?"
