Do MCU fans now accept this factual theory. Has anyone pointed out how something CANT be factual if its a THEORY?
Y'know, since theories are suppositions that haven't been proven yet?

It's been mentioned once or twice. Summers8 has trouble understanding the difference between facts and opinions. So it's no surprise that he doesn't understand the concept of theories as well.

Of course. I'm still not following why answering a question would be perceived as nefarious. I don't believe you. Not after your last response, which is precisely what I expected after the first one. I knew that was coming. I think you know who I asked and why. I think you know the point I'm trying to make and I know you know it doesn't apply to you, or me. I wasn't sure until your next response.
You have a black and white movie for an avatar and gave the briefest possible answer that still qualifies as one before asking me the same question. So what does a guy with a black and white movie photo have to gain from asking another guy with a black and white movie photo when last he saw a black and white movie? My guess is you stepped in to protect a friend. You know my question was tailor made for his comment about colors, and that no one's answer could be valuable to the point as his. I know you know it's why I asked him because it's in your first response to me. It's not answering a question that's nefarious, it's answering the question the way you did (minimalist) and asking it in return (knowing that asking me in return serves no purpose). You didn't even say what movie you saw, you just went right into "You asked a question on an open message board and then you're perplexed when someone answers it? Sorry that I upset you." That looks like the response you had lying in wait, and it combined with the rest, looks like your real hand.
That's why I don't believe your intentions are friendly.
You're trying way to hard to create an issue here. Who am I protecting and from what? I was just skimming the posts wondering why mcu fans were attacking each other and noticed your question so I answered it. Had you also asked "and what film did you watch" I would have answered that as well. No conspiracies or plots or agendas that I'm aware of but feel free to keep researching. Maybe you will change your mind again since you originally were satisfied with my truthful response. Maybe you can take a stab at answering my avatar question as well.

If the avatar question is what movie is yours, I don't know. I was curious too. It looks like something I think I'd want to see. Mine is from Kuroneko, aka The Black Cat.

My question was what do our avatars have in common? The answer is they are both from The Black Cat. Mine is Poelzig from the classic Universal horror The Black Cat 1934. Yours from the 1968 Toho film of the same name. Also as you pointed out, both avatars are B&W. Two very different but entertaining movies.

We actually both have photos from different versions of the same movie. That's a mind-blowing coincidence. I love how our avatars both directly play into our usernames too. Very cool. I'll have to track that version down somehow. Awesome.

do you know the bizzare thing with mcu fans.
they dont even agree with disney and their own actors about mcu movies.
if mcu and their actors admit the purpose of their movies is to appeal to the dumb masses and sell toys, how can they be angry when mcu deslikers or haters like us point it out.

Honestly the title is comedy gold. I'm glad Summers8 is going mental. We haven't had this much gold since Stanton roamed free.

These are movies about freaking comic book characters, FFS. There's nothing 'factual' to do with any of it.

I'm perplexed by your stepping in to answer. Nonetheless, last Sunday I watched The Lady Vanishes. You asked a question on an open message board and then you're perplexed when someone answers it? Sorry that I upset you. Here's a question for you. What do our avatars have in common? I'm not uptight so anyone can feel free to hazard a guess. To be fair, the question was quoted to someone else.

yes they are movies with comic characters but many comic characters were great characters with humanity and depth. not just tools to sell toys.
mcu has pushed that false narrative , reason the reputation of comic movies have suffered today.

i remember some documentary about X1 singer made it clear on charlie rose what was the purpose of the film and what he was trying to accomplish as a film maker. that was fact that he set out to make a thought provoking comics film. He was not interested in the goofyiness and toy appeal of comic but he wanted to make a good grouded drama
disney has factually said many times their mcu movies are for kids and about merchandise and to please the masses.
both have admitted this truth, it is fact now, why mcu fans cant admit it, is beyond me. its not as if i made it up, i just agree.

Well it's redundant to begin with. A lot of movies are lifted from the pages of books. There's nothing 'factual' to do with a lot of movies. Sherlock Holmes and Jason Bourne aren't real either.

No, they aren't--and I don't see too many people treating them with all the gravitas of a modern-day Greek mythos either.

In hindsight of that MCU feels empty video that caused such a stir, there is one thing in the video that hit hard as a long time marvel fan like me. according to narrator the difference between X-Men 1 and Avengers is X-Men 1 was a thought provoking movie that made you think deep,, Avengers 2012 makes you want to buy action figures. Is what xmen and real marvel fans have been saying for years, is there any mcu fan that disagrees at this point. I will just post 2 parts of both movies that does make that theory true. Avengers 1 X-Men 1 when you just look at the two movies, you gotta admit, one (avengers) is an ad for toys. the other, well it's... ian mckellen and partick stewart been too good for their own good, you wonder what they are talking about for two intelligent guys playing these characters and want to be part of their conversation. Also to think this is X-Men 1. Not X2 or DOFP that was the highest climax of xmen best story telling and themes. How sad, to see the state of marvel. so disgraced. yes.

A factual theory? Are you sure it's not a theoretical fact? I am leaning more to it being a hypothetical certainty. Innit?

I stand by what I said, but I should have said it to you instead of around you. That was a mistake, but I do not care for this 'it's not real' trump card. It's not wrong, but I think it sucks the fun out of any debate. Unless someone's being abusive and they need the wake-up call, by all means shut them down, but I didn't think we were there yet.
Why bother discussing anything at all if 'it's not real' is the magnetic north every discussion leads to?
