I'm really excited for The Joker solo movie coming out next year. If it's a success I think it has the chance to start a series of stand alone films centered around comic book super villains. If so, who are some super villains you would like to see get their own movie?
For me, I would like to see...
The Penguin
Lex Luthor
Deadshot
DeathStroke
Harley Quinn (w/the Joker appearance)

Doctor Doom (classic mad scientist story with a Faustian element included)
Poison Ivy (an environmental activist's gradual decline into eco-terrorism)
Deathstroke (Agreed. I'd make it like John Wick but evil)

I think Brainiac works best with a counterpart like Superman, but I suppose he could be given a solo film. A solo film of Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy are really good ideas. I think a Penguin film could work as a political thriller.

Apocalypse (ignore the movie version, use the backstory with the alien technology)
Ras Al Ghul (ignore the Nolan universe version, he's basically immortal in the comics)
Mr Sinister (could tie in with Apocalypse)

Yeah freeze is really just trying to save his wife so he's a relatable villain. You mentioned doc ocs character arc but it's also kind of like Sand Man's |

Irredeemable....a Superman type character that has had enough with humans and decides to rule our planet.  Empire...a solid one shot told almost entirely from various ‘bad guys’ perspective. It mostly takes place after the super villain has already won and is ruling his new Empire.  |

This thread makes me realize I don't want to see a movie about a super villain.
I think they should mask it into a bigger film like X-Men First Class which was almost entirely a Magneto origin story.

Funny fact, the movie was originally going to be X-Men Origins - Magneto, but they changed it after the failure of Wolverine. You can definitely tell during the movie as it is very Magneto centric.
Dr. Doom and Deathstroke would be my choices.
