Well, after years of the character being off limit to the 'Arrowverse' shows it appears Lex Luthor will officially be appearing in 'Supergirl' this season and I am interested in seeing what they do with Lex and what actor they get to play him and there are rumours going around Tom Welling could be playing the role but nothing has been confirmed yet. This could play into the 'Superman' TV show especially with Superman appearing on the show this season. Huh. Neat. I wonder if this will be a more serious take on the character, ala Michael Rosenbaum and Clancy Brown, or a comedic take ala everybody else?

Tom Welling? How could he play Lex Luthor? He isn't bald and he looks wrong for the role. Besides everybody knows him as Clark Kent. There ain't no escapin' that. Why don’t they just get the actor who played Lex in Smallville to play him again?

prays to God he's good. In saying that, I dont watch the show. I just hope he wont be as disappointing as Vandal Savage in Legends, wasted potential

Yes! Agreed! Vandal Savage is an amazing villain in the comics. In Legends of Tomorrow? They rendered him impotent.

I think he will be more of a serious take from what they have described about him on 'Supergirl' so far. Lena has mentioned him in a number of episodes and it doesn't sound like he is going to be like the Gene Hackman version. I think it might even turn out Mercy Graves is working for Lex since the character has had a long history with him in the comic books being his personal assistant and bodyguard and this will be the way they introduce him in 'Supergirl.' That being said would you say John Shea's version of Lex Luthor in 'Lois and Clark' was comedic? I think he was funny in some episodes but he was dead serious at times too and I thought he was pretty good in the role in the first season but they didn't really feel like they knew what they were doing with him when they brought him back for guest appearances later. Lex being in love with Lois added something interesting into it too and with Lois coming to 'Supergirl' too I am curious if they will keep that part unlike 'Smallville' since they took Cat Grant's crush on Clark from 'Lois and Clark.'

Yeah, there's so many places to take the character and so many relationships he has with other characters. I am curious if they will have him knowing Clark in Smallville or not meeting until he debuts as Superman?

I think they said Clark & Lex used to be best friends, so I am assuming they are following the Smallville idea of them being pals before Clark became Superman, otherwise seems a little odd that they become best friends whilst trying to defeat each other as Superman and some mystery evil dude, I think similar to Lois not figuring out who Clark really is if Clark whilst fighting off Lex's nefarious schemes and cronies doesn't piece together Lex is bad for a prolonged period of time it makes him seem a bit dense.

Yeah. That was said in one of the episodes and it sounds like the history between Clark and Lex is very similar in 'Supergirl' to what it was in 'Smallville' but with some exceptions like Lionel being good and Lex's Mother being the evil one instead and that makes me wonder if Lex knows Clark is Superman 'cause if he does he might also knows Kara is Supergirl since Lex was obsessed with studying Clark and finding everything there was to to know about him and if he didn't met Kara years ago like he did in 'Smallville' he probably knew about her and had a file on her. They will probably also keep the part about Clark saving Lex's life as when they first met and become friends. We are still yet to officially hear if Lois knows Clark is Superman in this but going on how long they have been together by the sound of things I think she will know. Now there is the question of where is Lana 'cause Lana ended up playing a big part in Clark and Lex falling out and they might as well have her or mention her if they are mentioning everybody else.

He was great initially just like Damien Darkh but both quickly became stale on both Arrow and Legends. Not sure how Darkh was with his group of villains though Do you remember how they made Vandal Savage look unstoppable in 'The Flash' and 'Arrow' crossover episode that set up 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' and introduced the Hawks? I think he could have been a lot better in 'Legends' if they had kept him that way but looking back at Season One they kinda de-powered him and he was no longer the threat he was before. Dhark seemed to be everything Ra's al Ghul should have been in a way with the powers but he was the victim of being in the worst season of any of the 'Arrow' shows and any potential for the character was destroyed with that and again when they brought him back in 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' and made him more of a comedic character. 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' really have a problem with doing that to their villains and they need to stop making them into comic relief.

Well as long as they portray him properly and don`t portray him as some stupid moron of a man. Because Lex may be evil but he is not stupid.
